I like the bit in the video with the woman who says "children can dress as empowering role models" while the young girl next to her is a character who says cunt a lot and beats the crap out of people.  :D

-Would the missus care to share her recipe for such a cake? I would love to give it a go.

The cake was a sponge with icing and the badge was icing that was painted with some edible gold food painty stuff. She got it from a cake shop but can't remember what it was called.
The badge did not taste good.

Jovus! That was drokking awful.
The only good thing in the whole issue was a nice comment about the Judge Minty film in the piece about the Cursed Earth.

So is anyone else from the forum popping along to this event next week?

Sadly no. I will be in London but I will be at the American Beer Festival at the White Horse, Parsons Green. I'd promised a friend I would go and then the dates clashed.
Oh well.......BEER!  :D

Back on topic....

Michael Baigent, one of the writers of The holy blood and the holy grail has died.
I actually knew about this last week as a friend of mine went to his house to do some work on his PC. He died later on the same day!

Pete Townsend tells a story about his own hearing loss.......at the finale of a Who concert, Keith decided that the 'explosion at the end wasn't quite loud enough.......so with the help of a roadie, added more flash powder to get a 'bigger' bang......

Sorry, still off topic, the explosive event described by Sideshow Bob wasn't at a gig, it was on the Smothers Brothers show on TV in America. You can see it here......

We will soon be back on topic, probably with Nelson Mandela. :-(

Even the legend that is Lemmy has had some health problems in recent years.

He was I'll at a gig in Greece a few years back, I think it was something to do with dehydration. He was told he needs to drink more water so he said he would have more ice in his Jack Daniels!

He has also had some heart problems recently..........

Still not bad for a man in his late sixties considering his lifestyle.

Crikey! I didn't know Sufferbus was so expensive now. (I looked on Amazon)

I don't know what P&P charges are but you can get Sufferbus here......

The rereleased Blue Garden is good value as it now comes with the High how the moon live album with it.
I have no idea why they changed the track listing on the Blue Garden, the original flows much better. At least it now has Doraldinas Prophecies on it, one of their finest songs. It was only available on a Def American sampler previously. They played it on Tuesday and Chris Goss explained it is based around a fortune telling machine that was at an amusement park in upstate New York that he visited as a kid.

Greg M is right about Deep in the hole. Another of their best albums.

I saw them last night in London. Amazing gig. It was my sixth time seeing them and it was one of the best gigs I have ever seen. Glad you liked them.

Which of their albums would you recommend as a starting point?

The second Masters Of Reality album, Sunrise on the sufferbus is probably the best to start with and then their debut, The blue garden.
