Albion, how did you manage to do that with Procreate? My efforts with that or any other app on the Ipad turn out rubbish so all the more impressive.

And how the hootin' heck did you do that image above. It's awesome.
There's some wonderful art on this thread. I really enjoy the stuff here and in the doodle and art comp threads too.

Thanks for the kind comments I've had recently. I always see a lot of faults in what I do and the comments I get are very encouraging. I've really got back into drawing recently.

As for Procreate it just seems to suit me quite well. I like the fact I can just have a go when I want drawing on the iPad. I can do it anywhere and all I need is the ipad and my stylus. I do tend to google for images as reference for what I'm doing. I also do sometimes trace the basic image outline as you can import photos into Procreate. Cheating a bit maybe but it saves a lot of time and I can build the image up from there.

I only use a cheap stylus I got on eBay. It's like a brush at one end and works very well. I also just purchased some new brushes in the app for the space effects and they work really well.

After eleven days I have finally got a reply from Strip about my subscription.
It seems that it is still current and will run out with issue 3. But as 2 is supposed to be out anytime now I still haven't received issue 1.

After all the delays, poor information, replies etc..I can't see me carrying on with Strip when my subscription runs out, even if I do get the remaining issues.

I'm staying in London on Friday night as I am seeing Rush at the O2 so I might come along to this.

 

X-Wing is just stunning, Albion! I haven't noticed it in the films before but the colour palette feels like an extension of R2-D2, which makes sense really because he is more or less the heart or brain driving the craft..sort of!

I hadn't thought of the R2 thing. I just thought I would invent a Squadron around my favourite football team colours, Brighton & Hove Albion.
I'm trying to sneak an Albion refernce into everything I do, I've managed it in the last three art comp entries. 

For a start she hasn't got a helmet.

She can have mine if she likes.

Looks very nice but I found it rather boring.

The shot of the cursed earth with the blocks in the distance made me think of the crosses on the hill in the Life of Brian!
