Film & TV / Re: Is John Carter the Princess of Mars?

I'll be interested to see if Dejah Thoris had properly red skin or not.

Also got my fingers crossed that we get to see at least 1 Martian ape.

I finally finished this off. Almost gave up on it at one point as I'm not too happy with bits of it, but never mind.

It's done in watercolours and around A3.

Kerrin, Yeah I'm going to use watercolours. I'm going to look through the few watercolour books I've got and maybe try out some different techniques on it.

Dog Deever, really like your sketch.

Bolt, like your picture a lot. Wish I could get something that good done in a lunchtime.

Here's something I've been working on for awhile. It's in pencil and around A3 size.

I gave up on doing waves as I couldn't seem to get them right. I might have a go at painting it over Christmas.

Film & TV / Re: Season of the Witch - Trailer

Probably not worth going to the cinema to see but I'll likely watch it when it's on TV. Any film with both Ron Perlman and Christopher Lee is worth seeing at least once.

A really great cover. Fingers crossed that at some point Mark Harrison will do some interior art.

The Round Robin idea sounds quite cool. I wouldn't mind having a go at something like that.

I can't stand seeing people wearing hats indoors. Even worse when the hat or baseball cap is worn the wrong way round and a really weird angle.

Udo kier sprang to my mind for Blackblood.

Off Topic / Re: Reading your Thrills each week!

Lately I've taken to reading the Prog, not the Megazine as it's too big for one sitting, in the bath if I've got the time. If not that I'll read it somewhere quiet, most likely my bedroom.

Prog / Re: Prog 1656: Morked For Death
07 October, 2009, 08:31:18 PM
I don't tend to get around to doing reviews but I thought I'd give it a go as the Prog is so good right now.

Dredd: I've got to say this is firing on all cylinders and for a story billed as an interlude it's stuffed full of stuff.
It may just me but
Sinfield sleeping 6 hours a night seems oddly decadent and wrong for a judge.
I could be wrong but I thought just
the Chief Judge tended to were a cape?
I hope we see more of
March.
Shakara, Kingdom, Necrophim and Strontium Dog are all great as well. Can't think of much else to say about them as I'd just repeat it for each story.

I might be being a bit heavy with the spoiler tag but want to be on the safe side.

Here is my entry for this month.

It's one of the Shakara's seen in the flashbacks. It's in watercolours.
