That's technically excellent although I'm not keen on the metallic pads.

And he wouldn't be able to sneak up on anybody wearing that big clanky eagle on his shoulder. It'd sound like a frigging xylophone.

That's great Lee, though I must say I was expecting Spidey to come up with a pack of Hostess Twinkies in the last frame.

Bluemeanie, where are you?

Ha ha! Spot on.

I'm giving a talk/demonstration about comic art at my son's school tomorrow (!) and I've done a quick, 1 page comic to copy and hand out to all the kids.

Thanks to Banners for helping me merge the 2 files into one pic.

Neil, those are arsom!

I love your Dredd design Steven. The eagle shoulder pad reminds me of Bubo the owl from the old Clash of the Titans film.

And that Captain Britain is kick arse flip-r.

Sorry but yuck!

What do you mean "yuck"? That costume looks great! How could it be improved in any way?

And she is proper fit innit.

Welcome to the board / Re: Hello from the new guy

Yeah, I haven't heard of Cabs' return. Please elaborate.

Have you by any chance taken your user name from the character in Kiki's Delivery Service? Tombo means Dragonfly in case you didn't know.

Which manga are you into? I've pretty much stopped buying it now after realising that Naruto, One Piece and Bleach will NEVER EVER END and will keep reusing the same basic plot until the end of time.

I love Death Note, Battle Angel Alita, Eden - It's a Perfect World!, Dragonball and Nausicaa.

Dandridge- I like the ideas and the world. I enjoyed the first 'Past Imperfect' (I'd like to reread that soon) and I think I largely liked the last run of the strip, although I was a bit uncertain. I'm really enjoying this run. I didn't write a review last week, but I like the way that you can almost believe you're actually in the Victorian period... then a ghost in eighties gear turns up. ;)

On the Nerve Centre page in the Contents box, it states that the strip is set in 1981. Dandridge is from Victorian times but has been resurrected in an alternate 80's.

And your wife is hereby promoted to the position of Associate Editor - meaning that from now on you must do as she tells you!

So what else is new?

I think it's a great idea. I can envisage something like the Super Squirrel project, but with comic characters appearing with the folks who win the bid.

Well, I think it could work but it would stand or fall depending on the level of talent you can get involved.

The bigger the talent, the bigger the bids. If it's only 1 or 2 page stories/pics then I can't see even big shot pros being too bothered about pitching in.

I would definitely like to offer my services again for this one and also, my wife is Japanese so I could run ideas by her and her friends if you like.

This is from the author's own website. I have not altered this *at all*, it's a straight copy and paste. So when she says her writing is fine, I'd take that with a pinch of salt:

DESCRIPTION TO THE GREEK SEAMAN NOVEL

What is an eighteen year old doing traveling on a massive merchant ship anyways, hadn't she gone to Greece on tour in a ballet as a dancer? These are questions Katy asks herself while traveling the high seas with Don, her chief officer who she marries. However, little do they know, a smuggling ring is also on board for this ride, on a blue diamond exchange, and when explosions and threats to sink the ship also happen, they must try to save themselves. True story.

Yikes.
