Help! / ...CREEPSHOW THE COMIC...
21 November, 2004, 01:29:34 PM
...i was wondering if anyone could help me out with a question i have, everyone knows about the great comic album that was produced for the first Creepshow movie and drawn by the great Bernie Wrightson, however was there a comic produced for the second movie??? up untill a few weeks ago i would have said no, but while searching e-bay came across an art page for sale by Silveracre which was headed as Creepshow 2 comic art page by Marvel (???) and drawn by John Ridgeway. There was a picture so it does exist and it clearly shows a scene from the movie (namely one with the avenging wooden indian in) So after all that rambling my question is this, does the comic exist or was it abandoned before completion and if so how much was produced, and also does anyone have a way of asking John who may know a little more about the project, and yep i am a nosy bastard...

Prog / Re: Progs 1411 & 1412

...think its fair to say now that Nimrod wont be having much to do with the end of Total War, and is more likly a character for the future, i love Wagner for doing this, make a change from most comic stories which introduced a character for that story and that story only and they always have to have a pay  of at the end, real life is never as neat as that...

Suggestions / ...PROG O...
03 November, 2004, 01:33:23 PM
...over the last couple of weeks ive come across a few mentions of 2000ad prog 0, which i understand to be the dummy version of 2000ad before it got the go ahead, the latest mention was on the back page of the new Extreme Edition, i also gather there are pages from it on this very web site, now wouldnt it be nice if this could be printed properly (maybe even on bog paper, for old times sake) and givern away as a free gift with issue 1500 or something, just a thought mind...

...just got my free issue of this in the post today, and it rocks. Its a pity we cant have more. Mind you all the old issues ive seen arnt in that bad a nick, bit like most comics with a glossy cover, unlike the fate of early 2000ad and its bog paper...

Prog / ...PROG 1414, LAW NO MORE...
01 November, 2004, 04:11:03 PM
...the new prog is here, and heres the results..

Droid Life, a classic if ever there was one.

Judge Dredd, as ever lots going on, probably lots of clues but no real resolution, just another chapter in the overall story but what a corker. love the last panel. suttle cliff-hanger but puts you in the mode for more...

Faces, me thinks this is getting better by the week. Still ots of twists and turns to come me thinks.

Lobster Random, afraid this is just treading water, lets move on quickly chaps.

Asylum 2, the final chapter, very very predictable but drawn so well.

Strontium Dog, good solid action with just enough build up to the final part next week, gonna miss this thrill.

Overall a good prog, but suffers from lots of padding and treading water tillthe next prog.

But still a must read...

...E-Bay is the place, got most of mine from there, mind you i was lucky with the last 100 issues, which come up for auction less often, somebody at the time was selling off batches of 10 of the complete run and i had the money available to bid, it was to good an opportunity to miss...
