General / Re: Witch World for reprint?.........
06 May, 2008, 08:18:23 PM
I started reading Tooth around the time the last book of Mazeworld was being published, would like to see an EE or trade of it to read the whole thing.  But IIRC it was creator owned wasn't it?  And that makes the reprints a bit more awkward as I understand it.

It actually says "with his former 2000ad writer".
What did Rennie write that the Bis drew?

Great episode.
Loved the Valiant - has that been in it before?  I don't remember it.

Next week looks interesting - Susan's mum?

Leaving here at just before 2, arriving about 4.30 ish.  Crashing in hotel for an hour then trundling back to the Ramada to find drinking pals.

I shall be there.
Don't know where I will be and I don't know what most of you look like.  Shall be popping along to the FQ table at some point I'm sure though.

The big question of the Con - Where will we all be watching Doctor Who?

Dead Signal - wha?  huh?  Awesome!  I hate/love Al Ewing!  Commence random gibbering now.  Gibber gibber gibber.
That interview said it wasn't what it looked like.  So what is it?  Gah, need next weeks now!

Bravo Al and PJ!

WoD - they were named after those characters.  RTD confirmed in Confidential.

I liked the pre-credit sequence, thought it dropped off for about 10/15 minutes after that, then picked up again to be a good episode.
When Tate isn't shouting she's really good, her "Just save someone" speech shows she should be there.  And it's nice to have a companion who actually challenges the Doctor.

I only ever remember the episode of U31 where they get stuck on a rainbow coloured road which is actually a treadmill that they are being forced to walk together.

And for thoe interested in Mysterious Cities of Gold - HMV are releasing the entire series in a box set in the next couple of months.

Are there no full shots in Origins?  Could have sworn there were a couple of Dredd and Rico

Spielberg's War of the Worlds - only film to ever make me so angry I felt like walking out.
Outlaw - just dull.

I'm in the Mercure - the Expo site said Ramada was sold out, I didn't try but the Mercure has Con rates too of £75 a night for a single, £85 for a double.

I enjoyed it - but it was a bit short.

Loved the sudden use of Schoolboy's rifle and the disappearing guards!
