Your confidence will find quite a boost by sampling the "horror" of "Collectives In A Foresaken Landscape" by Nickolaus A. Pacione

It was boosted by the first line of the excerpt.
And that's his 4th book?

Why do people like this pseudo-intellectual literature stuff?

I like a rollicking good story, I do not want to fish out the dictionary every 3rd word or so.

I'm having a crisis of confidence due to some rejections, and I keep reading really good books that I like.
Further dropping me into a "I'm crap" state of mind.

What I need is to read some downright terrible books so I can say to myself, "I'm better than them, and they got published.  That means I can too."

So, crap books please.

Have just got Helm in my Helmet.
So far, pretty damn cool.  Controls feel much nicer than DvD, but would have liked to up the mouse sensitivity.  But that's only a minor quibble.

Is the voice of Gunnar Toby Longworth?  Sounds like the voice of Dredd.

After spending 1 hour looking for the PC version, because no-one has it!  I am now installing.

Why is it so hard to get hold of the PC version?  Even all the online stores are out of stock.  Any game that requires a sight reticule to shoot people, I want on the PC.
Slaine I would rather play on me X-Box as it would most likely be 3rd person choppy-uppy stuff.

It may take less muscles to smile than frown, but it takes even less to bitch slap the person that tells you this.

Don't shit where you eat.

Don't eat where you shit.

If you hav a shit-eating grin, your day is off to a bad start.

Help! / Re: wireless broadband
07 April, 2006, 12:46:10 AM
You should be able to.  You'll need to buy a wireless router and put a wireless card in each of the machines.

I presume you mean wireless around the house instead of wires?

In which case, buy those things and you should be laughing.

Just re-read all 3 books over the weekend.

They should stick to the plots closely, though I would say books 1 and 2 will need to be a tad padded by more fights, or maybe more Cora in Bk 2.

And a rather fetching beret.

Megazine / Re: Meg 244: Back from the Dead......

Got mine at the weekend.
Have to agree on the cover, as did the guys in my local comic shop.  The cover should not be that much nastier than the actual pages, nice to hear it won't be for long.

But the most important piece of information I got from the Meg was that Rogue Trooper first appeared in 2000ad on my first birthday!
Don't know what it means for me, but surely it's significant.

Spalding - A little over enthusiastic for me, especially over a strip that still needs to convince me.

Hey, I really enjoyed the strip, and with judicious use of the glossary on this here site, I got myself a nice little Nemesis figure.
