Ok so I've seen the first episode of series 2 of dr. who, and it's really quite good. Superior to both the first series and the disappointing Christmas special, it's immensely enjoyable television. As fast-paced as we've come to expect, it's funny, clever, well-acted and very well-written. I sometimes find RTD's dialogue to be cheesy and immature but he has excelled himself with this. Manages to be accessible to young viewers and mentally stimulating for more mature ones at the same time.
Set on an alien planet for the first time, 'New Earth' has The Doctor and Rose in a hospital to visit The Face of Boe. They also encounter Cassandra, the human trampoline, and some mildly intimidating nurse cat-women.

SPOILER ALERT - Cassandra appeared to be killed by Rose in the last series, but she survives by using the skin from the back of her body, whereas before she was using the skin from the front(leading Rose to remark that she's actually speaking out of her arse).
