General / A question for pedants and true 2000AD fans.

Is it 2000 AD or is it 2000AD?  Both appear on the home page.

Cromwell is sitting at his desk, above which is a giant wooden eagle.

He shoots the duplicate elderly captain dude.

Synnamon gets upset.

She vaults the desk, and wrenches the giant wooden eagle from the wall.

Cromwell, with surprising agility for a man with a goldfish bowl of tripe instead of a backbone, has somehow vanished from the scene.

The giant wooden eagle comes crashing down.

The giant wooden eagle lands on the dead body of the duplicate elderly captain dude, thus adding posthumous injury to insult.

Synnamon screeches NAAAAAAAARRRRGGGGGHHHH! in frustration at her own inability to hit a cripple with a giant wooden eagle, and her failure to protect the duplicate elderly captain dude.

I meant, I reckon Valkyries could make a great game (planet hopping Viking femmes with hammers?  What's not to like?)

I like the fact that Valkyries now has 4 votes, while Synnamon has none.

How the list of possibles was put together:

Top 20 thrills as voted for by readers of this website, excluding multiple entries from the same world.  Plus things I thought would be interesting to make into games.  Plus the option to, as Amstor has done, argue cogently and fluently for your own ideas outside of these.

I reckon Synnamon and Valkyries could both make great games.

Prog / Prog 1477 - Skyjack!

Cover by Cliff Robinson.  It?s a Cliff Robinson cover, i.e. quality.
Dredd ? hats off to Gordon, that was genuinely unexpected.  Great dialogue, too.
Bec n Kawl ? oh, Wils isn?t going to like this one.
ABC Warriors ? I?m trying to like this through gritted teeth.  Great art, shame about absolutely everything else.
The Ten Seconders ? Back on form after a couple of weeks? dip in quality, and the best thing in the Prog.
Rogue Trooper ? Ian Edginton demonstrates that, no, there really isn?t any life in this character.  Game looks awesome, though, so maybe that?ll prove inspiring to some droid in future?

Letters ? I see no evidence of that wider readership, away from the internet wierdos, who love Synnamon.  Where are the letters clamouring for her return, then, eh?

Nerve Centre ? 2000AD in ?sponsoring Battlestar Galactica shocker?!  Possibly, just possibly, Tharg is onto a winner with this particular idea.  First really great marketing idea I've seen from the House of Tharg since... well, possibly ever.

Little copyright bit: sheesh, PYE-01, cheer up, dude!  We all love ya, baby.  And what?s the love of an actual woman compared to the sweaty, clammy love of the messageboard?

One of the few ex-Tory MP's whose death I'd mourn.
