I'll continue to praise this project until someone I know buys it, so I can borrow it off them.

"Two names with which many comics readers are already familiar are John Reppion and Leah Moore , writers of Dynamite Entertainment's â??Raise the Deadâ? and Wildstorm's â??Albion.â? For â??PopGun,â? the husband-and-wife team worked with artist Matt Timson to debut their new creation, Deadeye, in a story called â??Old Habits Die Hard.â?

â??Our story serves as the long overdue introduction of one Scott Struldbrug; a private eye working in the city of Los Muertes in a parallel 2007,â? John Reppion told CBR News. â??Something happened back in 1958 that changed everything, but life goes on. Well, sort of. Anyway, nuns, guns, mobsters, martinis; our little tale has it all and we hope everyone digs it â??cause we've got plenty more Deadeye adventures up our sleeves.

â??We've been devolving the Deadeye universe with Matt Timson for a couple of years now in secret,â? Reppion explained. â??Matt has really brought his own slant to the project and helped us develop things in a slightly different way. I think people are really going to be blown away by his artwork and hopefully they'll be begging to see more. We were also lucky enough to have the great Thomas Mauer helping us out with the lettering on the strip. What's not to love?â? "

vzzbux, would I be correct in assuming that you are not gay?  Also, would I be correct in assuming that you have a couple of gay friends, but an awful lot more who are straight?

As you'll see if you look at the Pink News article, below, quite a few gay people do take offence at jibes aimed at homosexuality.

The majority of people that get offended by gay jokes ate politically correct hetrosexuals.

What an extraordinary statement.  Do you have any evidence for this? Other than having gay mates who make a lot of gay jokes and also don't mind their friends making gay jokes?  Have you considered that your gay friends might not be so happy to hear total strangers using the phrase "raging queers" as an insult?  Has context no meaning for you?

I think that the film/toy/tie-in covers should be off in their own category, since they;re so universally hated.http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/2000ad/mediumres/290.jpg">

Saw it last night.  Absolutely flipping awesome.  Full kudos to Gaiman for pulling off a trick of rewriting a classic tale* without ever falling into the trap of either looking down at or simply ignoring his source material.  The effects were brilliant, the acting suitably hammy, and it's every bit as good as 300, another mythic** update I adored.

*I done read it in the original, me.
**Sort of mythical.

Which artists have drawn Judge Dredd's face? (clones count)

Off the top of my head, I have:
Simon Bisley
Simon Fraser
Charlie Adlard
Mike McMahon

And Will Simpson managed a few panels where you could pretty much work out all of Dredd's features.

Any more for any more, and can anyone locate all the instances above and scan them in here?

Having now read the *awful* Dredd in this month's Meg, I'd like to ask all the 2000AD creators who read this board to, y'know, just take a break from it.  For most of us, it's just a hobby.  But for you, it's your job.  You don't want to be the guy in Accounts who spends all his time on accounting websites, do you?  Go find a hobby.
