Announcements / Re: 2000 AD - The Ultimate Collection

Quote from: castle4 on 12 August, 2024, 02:57:11 PM179 and 180 just arrived, and I was rather surprised that as a subscriber, Hatchette didn't bother to tell me that there has been another extension and I'll be charged again next month. Now as I frequent their website and this board, I'm aware, but poor form not mentioning it to all of their paying subscribers.

Agree. I noted the usual receipt that came with the books also listed 'end letter' which of course was not included (nor a 'not ending' letter). I'm sure there will be subscribers that don't have access to the forum here that will be in for a surprise when their bank accounts get plundered again. Poor show by Hachette to be honest and, much as I'm enjoying this collection, I do hope they do the decent thing and pull the shutters down at the end of this latest extension.

Both now available to order, that Bolland variant cover is sublime (it's like I'm 13 years old and it's Xmas all over again!) Order in...  ;) https://2000ad.com/news/the-2000-ad-annual-is-back/

Picked this up, it's a great book and sets a curious precedent for other possible titles running issues in order. Anyone fancy one for StarLord? Tornado? Eagle? Even one for 2000AD weekly in prog order would be tempting though a right thorn in the side for all of us that have collected all 200 volumes of the Ultimate Collection.

Hi, long time loiterer with heaving shelves with these and the Dredd collection. I was getting slightly worried that we didn't have some of the pre-spine extension books (Hachette are normally not bad for tidying up loose ends like that to let folk step off) but I note volume 142 is seemingly Savage: The Marze Murderer (out on 19th June) while still nothing for vols 146 or 148? I see the usually semi-reliable Wiki page claims the current run is for 200 volumes but couldn't see a source for the same.
