I like Nigel Dobbyn's art too. It is ringing a faint bell now.

That Medivac series he did was pretty decent. Wouldn't mind seeing that collected in the UC, maybe with Trash. Any other Dobbyns apart from the Stront stuff which I think is already collected?

Back to the thread, that is the grumpiest Mekon I've seen, Andy. Superb stuff!

Apologies for the third post but I've tweaked this in the computer to finally finish it so it looks like a real vintage cover. It's got the same main characters as the December 28th 1985 cover, so I've used the collateral from that prog. I'm pretty happy with it, hope you don't mind another post. Other tweaks - Tharg's hair, so he looks less like a green Jimmy Saville. Tharg's hotshot box better captioned and coloured. It's now more obvious that the flyers have set fire to the trees. Added the gradient background and stars/snow. Doubled up the gingerdredd man who was covered by the price box.

Povey will be Yassa Povey, the young Cursed Earth boy who helped out The Dead Man, but suffered for it.

Speaking of posting advent stuff and comments, is there a thread regarding Drokktober art and those who submitted stuff for it ?

I posted a few on the creative common Does my art look big in this? thread, which is somewhere folks can post drawings and the like. I'll look at creating a separate thread next time if there's interest.

Yep Robin Smith. I pinched his occasional droid star scans for most of the droids in my advent submission... and completely failed to acknowledge him! Or Carlos or Alan Davis, for that matter. I hope you all recognised the reference material anyhoo. Giants all.

Nope not over thinking. I was sure it was double shoulder pad and half badge but I checked a recent regened about Cadet Dredd and they're all sporting eagle pads, and full badges. cept for the tech cadets. They'd have the equivalent pads and badges differed too.

Ah OK! Good to know! They must have a job lot, all shapes 'n sizes. I saw a Cam Kennedy variant the other day that must have extended about a yard from Dredd's shoulder.

Nice submissions Hoagy. Got to have some Xmas Slaine. Do cadets have eagles though... wasn't there something about cadets earning/qualifying for the full eagle? I may have imagined it and I don't have a regened to hand to check...

They're probably expensive to manufacture and have to be custom made, so you'd want them to reach adult size first. Or am I overthinking it?

Have there been any announcements about giving digital copies to subscribers whose progs are still in the post? I'm two issues behind now, and only got Prog 2359 last week.

I just email the subscribers help and they've been happy to do this for me in this circumstance (only happened a handful of times).

[Enemy Earth]

It's a shame Enemy Earth didn't continue in regened, it has much improved and I'd enjoy reading 21 page chunks of this.  While I'm also happy to read it in the prog it feels to me like a closer fit to regened (this is not a dig) - aren't kids missing out as they're not reading the main prog? Or is EE going to be collected for them soon?
