At Max's age I would have hated youth clubs, let alone quasi-military marching and outdoor pursuits organisations.

In my day we had homework.

Max has a point. When you're a teenager, girls your own age generally want to go out with someone about two years older than you.

Maybe I'm lucky enough never to have had my heart broken. Felt gutted maybe, but not heartbroken. I can't be the only one.

Thanks for sharing. Presumably that image URL will become redundant soon and this delightful picture will fade from view? I'm chuffed for you mate, but don't need to know everything. Maybe you should save it for the chat room?

Top tip: unless she has a strong preference for shave-heads, grow some hair. What about a crew-cut?

So, Lordgokal, (avoiding possible spoilers for anyone who, like me, hasn't read Prof 1423 yet), what are you currently enjoying in 2000AD?

I think it cuts both ways. Collaborations start out with good intentions, and it all ends with the artist saying "well? I'm waiting. Have you written something for me to draw yet?"

And before you know it the artist has started drawing naked chicks and cyborg berzerkers with chainsaws and is saying to you "write them into the story". Or at least, that's what I heard.

Mind you, I'm not saying all artists are c***s and I'd rather have nothing to do with them directly. I'm not saying that at all!
