Well, the thing is, nowadays we are always being told that our lives are full of compromises, and if we aren't happy with that, then it's legitimate to take whatever we want, no matter who we have to screw over to get there. We are supposed to want to live completely hedonistically and do whatever we want, but most of us are far too staid and cautious to embrace such a self-indulgent creed.

I have never been arrested, and I've not had a parking fine or a speeding ticket in 14 years of driving. I've probably jinxed it now, though. Damn!
