James, it's actions like these that make life worthwhile! Just think of those kids getting the most out of your collection - and feel good about a job well done!

Amazon have it listed as follows...

Product details

ASIN: 1905239300

TBH, I though it was on here I had heard about it!

I found the page just trawling through t'internet - no idea where it comes from though!

I take it that 'S Woodcock' is an alias for Alan Moore?

General / Captain Britain / DR & Quinch crossover?
02 July, 2006, 08:32:32 PM
After looking for Captain Britain stuff (apparently they're about to reprint the original Chris Claremont run), I came across this....

Which issue did this turn up in then? It's got a 2000ad cred on it - but I have no idea when it appeared!

Help!

New Rocks.. FEH! Give me Dr Martins 10 or 14  hole any day(this has nothing to do with the fact my wife would make me walk 10 feet behind her if I bought a pair)!http://images.google.co.uk/images?q=tbn:ZnD0u77f4iDNNM:www.yanix.co.uk/shoe-stop/dr-martens/boots/images/2b34-teal.jpg">

Sorry to double post but I found this on The Spiral fanclub site....

DarkSoul520     Trent, any word on how that new album is coming along?
trent_reznor    The majority of the music feels pretty done. Working on words and vocals on this tour. I'm coming from a much different head-space this time around and it's showing in the work.

Now you're on to my mastermind subject... NIN.

At the moment, they're still touring America (they're in Cleveland) but Trent Reznor has hinted that the next album will be out before the end of the year, and that it will be more.... electronic than With Teeth - but it will still be as raw....

He's also trying to wrok out the legal stuff around releasing Closure on DVD and a Special Edition of Pretty Hate Machine - just like he did with Downward Spiral.

Back to TOOL though - I watched them at Download  - first time I'd seen them live (though I did catch APC last time they toured) - WHAT A SHOW.  Rosetta Stoned is amazing live - as is all the new stuff.

Off Topic / 10,000 Days....

Knowing that there are several Tool fans around here (Mr Spurrier!), has anyone else taken a look at the artwork for the new album 10,000 days?

In these days of the download, for a band to spend (what must have been) a small fortune on a concept like the one used for the packaging is great!  I've owned the album since the day of release, and I'm still not bored of staring through the specs at the 3d images - I've never come across 3d like this (spectroscopic?) and I must admit I've been blown away by it.

Not to mention it's the bands bassist who designed the bleedin thing (Adam Jones, who also does the videos and live footage)!

Seriously, if you dont own this album, go and have a look at it!

It's also very good musically.....

I love my job.

I really do.  Every time we have a little old lady who is delighted with the new kitchen, bathroom, windows and doors we fit, and make the wiring in her house safe instead of being the same that moses used on the PA system on the Ark, I feel that my job is worthwhile.

HOWEVER. When I get some dirty, scummy, scrounging, never done a days work in their life wanker who thinks that he deserves MORE than what we can offer, and decides to go to the local 'crusading' paper and tells them that we have left his house like a bombsite when in fact we've all come out of his house stinking of rancid cooking fat and covered in fleas and have had to have shots 'just in case' I lose my rag. And for every nice person who's grateful, there's 10 of the wankers!
Makes me wonder why I travel 160 miles a day to go to work.

I bought Alone in the Dark for 1.99 from Blockbuster, and normally, evne if the film isn't great, 1.99 isn't such a loss is it?

I took it back and demanded my money back, as they could give me the 2 hours of my life that I had lost watching the drivel.

His films should come with a health warning!

Hey, support who you want to - that's the whole point of having different teams for the 'home nations' (god I hat that phrase).  But there's always someone who takes it too far.... beating kids up for wearing an England top isn't big nor clever, and shames everyone.  Agree?

I think that the long gap also has a lot to do with Dan Abnett having just come out of a writing partnership on a trilogy for Games Workshop called 'Horus Heres' which has taken the best part of a year to put together, not to mention the other 3 books he has released for them in the last year - I think that, combined with the literary sleepwalking of the VC's would mean not a lot of time to write S&D.

nice to see Mongo can still argue with himself.

On the subject of here - hey, we all have bad phases - maybe it's the boards turn? It'll get better as it goes on I'm sure.
