i have to admit that comsidering there are probably only 30,000 hardcore comic fans in the country,

RE-ACTION were possibly a little over zealous there though

what happenned to the share quotation that rebellion did, selling shares in a film company or something (or were they sellingn shares in them)

hmmm - see what i mean, that means that license is up for grabs again then

i was kinda hoping for a rogue trooper figure really

i think the problem is that if u sell a licvence to somebody, the people that buy this licence are often the wrong people

this can depend on whether u have chosen carefully or just taken the money and ran (u can also do eenny, meeny, miny, mo but thats not really recom'd)

if u give the licence to the highest bidder, they may not have much money left for advertising - alternatively they could be fans in whch case they can become too involved and forget the business side - or they could be taking the franchise for other reasons (like maybe they would rather compete against games workshop and see a 2000AD related license as a good step in the door before releasing their own and dumping it)

the advantage of this route is that if the licensee gose bust u get to sell the franchise again, but it eventually damages the comics

what happenned to RE-ACTION with the figures line by the way

hmmm come to think i watched all sorts from robocop to 'raising arizona'

it didnt really affect me much

what about 'young adults' or twenty somethings (18 to 25 year olds) we are no longer accepted as being stringly adults anymore

dont know why though

hmmm - tricky one this, when i was 6 i was scared stiff by the hammer horror films and 'ALIEN'

this then set a trend, i have always had a mad affection with these type of films, when i was 7 i would pore over SCREAM and slowly developed a liking for horror, sci fi etc (the reason why im here today - on this site i mean)

nowadays i think u have to think of tv as a kind of '3rd parent' that is always present in your childs life

the problem is caused when u buy the kids a video or tv to shut them up, then u are not doing your job as a parent

the fact that the watershed has moved to 10pm now sugests that most people are not taking on their parental responsibilities

but they will want their tv and stuff eventually so???

but its not as good as the clown, which i liked a lot really

(i wasnt reading 2000AD then, so am just readn them now really, its very dissappointing)

well ive kept it at 5, u cant give it a 1 cos of clint langleys art and the rest of this period in 2000AD history was very dire so??

it was funny and the best thing in the progs that it is in collectively,
so im gonna go with the 5 i think, the only way it would get more than that is if it actually came back now up against the current crop of cannon fodder

just checking thru a few back progs

is it just me or does clint langley have a thing for demons

also DINOSTY - its not very good but im not sure what to rate it,
a 3 bcos its absolute pants or a 5 bcos its the best thing in the progs its in

its not xmas yet...

i had a feeling it was tongue in cheek sarcasm (as was my original reply)

only on americans have access to the necessary materials anyway

i dont really have a problem with the way the page flows and its nice to see somone being original and creative/inventive

it looks like a storyboard

but i dont like the chin, makes it look like a joke
