History is written by the storytellers, wheteher they be jistorians who write books on a subject using cold hard facts or Hollywood who like the "good" guys to win all the time.
Hence why Americans believe William Wallace to have had *ahem* relations with the daughter of the King and to have worn blue and been quite a small bloke with a bad scottish accent.
Similarly, in the Patriot (what has Mel Gibson got against us?) the British were shown burning people inside a church even though we never did anything like that during the War of Independence.

So if you want to be remembered as the Good Guys, get a decent PR manager!

The T.V series was in development hell and dropped a while back IIRC.

Nice one Art! Are you now being chased through the streets by rabid Squax eager to touch a (semi)droid?
Damn fine story too!

This is, I believe, the main argument against the offensive arrangement. Having eight or more part stories in blocks leaves out the potential for massive epics or even smaller one-offs.

This is another trouble with anthologies, you can please some of the people most of the time or most of the people some of the time, but not all of the people all of the time.

There have been plenty of new thrills recently that I've enjoyed. Caballitics Inc, Lobster Random, From Grace, Leviathan, hell, I even enjoyed Storming Heaven, Shakara and Dead Men Walking!

I do believe however, that the editorial team is trying to phase out the offensive plan and going with a more organic "print 'em when there's room" idea.

Cover- Very nice pic but how many covers can Cliff Robinson do before he suffers cover related stress syndrome (CRESS)?

Dredd- And in just one prog, Crystal Skull bloke gets fleshed out into an interesting and nasty villain! Just hope we get some more of his backstory and that he doesn't turn into a bog standard super-villain.

Past Imperfect- Woohoo! Go Art! Great to see this finally get into the prog and what a cracker it is! A great twist at the end and a mighty step forward for Liberal Stalinism in 2000AD.

Red Seas-"I thought it was only Scots that wore nothing under their kilts." Fantastic, this just gets more fun with each episode.

Slaine- Give Odacon a Kenneth Williams accent and this becomes a very funny episode "Bend over, Sethor!" Some interesting facts at the end too.

VC's: Blah.

Overall, an good prog. Very enjoyable (even Slaine was okay!)

An Ocktette?

*sigh* If only I could meet a nice girl who would admire my collection of progs and marvel at my lovely 1969 issue of Batman 200. Hell, she doesn't even have to be nice! Just a girl. And with sight intact. And a normal amount of toes...
