That's true. Going up to him in a drunken stupor and slurring "Shtormin 'eaven were fuggin great mate!" gets a roll of the eyes and a shake of the head.

Anyway!
Cover-Cliffy R does it again.
Dredd-Excellent story, fantastic to see some modern day followers of Adolph Soso's fashion sense!
WWEHT: Giant-Really enjoyed this one, very sympathetic and quite a touching ending.
Death-Interesting ending, wonder if the ending of the will somehow tie up with Half-Life. Strange that I find myself sympathising so much with a nasty genocidal maniac and feeling sorry for him when he's foiled agian by those pesky sinners!
Charley's War- I'm too young to have caught the days of Battle, but this still is a brilliant story and makes me wish that Pat Mills could brush up on his storytelling and dialogue.
Blood of Satanus 2-Apart from Weston's art, the only thing that keeps me interested in this is the upcoming Dredd/Satanus rematch. Shame really.
2000AD Gold: Young Giant- missed this the first time around but I'm glad to have caught up on the background of this well fleshed out supporting character.
Anderson-I love Ranson's art and this is a fantastic story, I love the Dark Judges and seeing their creation would (sorry about this) ROCK! Fuego's obviously Judge Fire and we all know De'ath is Death, but what was Fear and Mortis called originally?

Billboards, bus shelter posters and full page magazine ads.
Very simple, all you need is a bloody great pic of a mainstay character looking cool with a buzzword beneath them. Dredd could be done by Jock (possibly an old one since he's been seduced by the power of the yankee dollar) with "I AM THE LAW, CREEP!", Johnny Alpha by Carlos with "DEAD OR ALIVE YOU'RE COMING WITH ME!", etc.
Impress potential new readers with flashy art, cool looking characters (I get the feeling Durham Red would bring in a few teenage boys...) and then keep hold of them with great stories.

Easier said than done, I know, but it is vital for 2000AD's survival that it brings in new readers and try to kickstart a new "golden age". Comics are coming back into fashion thanks to all these comic films, 2000AD should be there to grab as many people as possible!

I remember Si's poem, I also remember after Dredd's Doomsday how he slagged off John Wagner for making the major Dredd cataclysms all the same...

How many progs has Floyd had his letters printed? He must hold the record for most prolific letter writer! I remember that there was talk of a Floyd action figure at one point.

Did you seek sanctuary in a small South American Dictatorship and then proceed to create an international brotherhood of fellow evil water filchers?

Launch your paper aeroplanes against them in a preemptive strike whilst cailming to have evidence that they were about to use weapons of mass discussion on the rest of the year. Then steal their lunch.

You could start a game of "name that boarder" there, Bou.

Anyway, is 2000ad Punk? Er, no, like Bou says, there's something for everyone, true, just becasue it came out when Punk was rising, it doesn't mean that it's part of Punk culture. I mean, Pat Mills and John Wagner aren't the Punkiest people around.

Matter of fact, 2000AD came out just before Star Wars and might've been really popular because of the boom in Sci-Fi that resulted.

Indeed they are. Designer to feed Chihuahuas after Hollywood celebrities banded together following the choking of Meryl Streeps pooch.

In a similar manner, Creme Eggs were shrunk because pigeons were confused by their size and attempted to sit on them, thinking them to be their own eggs which happen to be the excact same size and shape and come in foil wrappers. Indeed, the health hazard caused by pigeons invading corner shops up and down the country was so severe that a bill was passed through parliament forcing Cadburys to either stop producing Creme Eggs or shrink them in size. Of Course, Cadburys denied all knowledge of these events when I phoned them to check, but I know the truth! And I will expose them no matter the cost!
