It's looking fantastic so far, really looking forward to this film especially sice Mignola's been heavily involoved in the making of the film. Quite possibly the very first film based on a comic book that actually gets the creator involved.
If only they did that sort of thing with that pile of poo that was the Dredd film:
"Uh um du Lur!"

Commando was written by the current DC golden boy Jeph loeb, who's just finished off a horrific 12 issue Batman run that had some-bloke-we've-never-heard-of-but-who-happened-to-be-his-childhood-friend-going-all-nasty-and-setting-the-rogues-gallery-up-against-him-one-at-a-time(copyright DC generic plotlines), Batman revealing his identity to catwoman, Jason Todd coming back from the dead and then it turned out he was just clayface, and a load of other clapped out old plots including the godd old "It was the Riddler all along!" all wrapped up in a load of Jim Lee T&A art.
Thank Christ Azarello and the rest of the 100 bullets team are on the title now!
Mind you, Loeb did write Teen Wolf...

Hmmmm...
Remember the short story thing in the backl of the volume one trade? the one that shows how Quartermain lost his mables? Well now, in that story he gets a glimpse of the future along with a couple of gentlemen both called Carter, one glimpse shaows him, Mina and Randolph carter in a house fighting off something nasty that's materealizing out of thin air.
1920's... now what whas the name of that short story author that was around at the time? You know, the one whose writings have influenced loads of people including Mr Moore and a certain Mr Rennie....

Fhtagn!

High Plains Drifter has to be one of the darkest Westerns ever along with Unforgiven.
