Yeh I know Ennis gets on peoples nerves with this Pun-and personally I wish he'd give SPidey a bit more credit, but thats his style, and I do like his Pun, so I say just ride it out. I wonder why he thinks trashing super-hero's is so amusing??

Actually I disagree-I am enjoying JLA/Avengers. Yes I think it would have been better for Bats and Cap to go at it, the Thor/Superman fight is pretty cool. I collect quite a few US comics, from DC and Marvel, and its oneof the bbetter reads at the moment. I must say Ennis' Punisher is cool too, I have every issue-how strange that he did so much CRAP for 2000AD...but I digress...oh yeh if you aren't into superheros, you will hate JLA/Avengers tho!!!

Recently I made some noise about how hardcovers were a bit of a rip-off, (even tho I agree the content is great) but I just found out thru looking at the store that the *complete* Halo Jones trilogy is available in softcover...I'm ordering mine off Amazon!!!! HOORAY!!!! ialways thought this was amongst the *very best* stories I've ever read...props to 2000AD and Rebellion!!! Redlantern 2051 is happy!!!!!!!

thats right-I would have thought sending Giant to Titan for one liason would be stretching it a bit. Even Dredd seemed to understand, from memory. I had forgotten where and when Giant dided-if it was Cal doing it, its actually quite early on isn't it? I used to like those Complete Judge Dredd monthlies, I caught up on heaps of "MC-1 history" that way. You know one day I am going to go back to Tassie, where all my old 2000AD's are, and do a big retrieval mission!! Especially focusing on the monthlies and the Complete Judge Dredd series...what Prog # did they end up going to??

I have a question guys...remember back around judgement Day, Dredd found out that Judge Giant (the one who got killed, I think by Orlok)had fathered a son...if they had found that out before Giant dided, would Giant have been facing a 20 stretch on Titan?? Or is that a lesser crime than killing innocents etc? Is that rookie Judge Giant all grown up, and a full-time Judge now??

I am definitely enjoying my comics more now than at any point in my life-except maybe the glory days of 2000AD when I first started getting it...Oz, Bad Company 2, ABC Warrior etc!! As I have said, I am just dipping my toe back into 2000AD, and this board is a big reason I stay interested!! Basically I think comics are great. 2000AD got me into JLA (Morrison) then when I got tired of that, after he left, I started with Ultimate Spiderman, got back into the Punisher with Ennis, Legion, Teen Titans, a bit of Batman, and so on...all in all, I'm big into my comics!! Do ppl think I'm immature? Yeh a bit, but then again, I really don't care. I write, currently doing a sci-fi book, and I work hard-so ppl can think what they like. Rcenely the very proud owner of a Johhny Alpha action figure, to complement Spidey, Green Lantern, and the Hulk,  I don't figure I'll be dropping comics any time soon!! Long live 2000AD!!!!!!!!!!

I have been thinking about this topic and I sense it may have been a missed oppurtunity to show MC1 justice system at work...YES it was a show trial!! I am looking forward top picking this and Sin City up tho...

hehe thats a pretty funny joke man. I must say, 2 issues seems pretty rushed. Just my opinion, I am going to pick up a fair few 2000AD's next pay...hey I was chatting to a friend tonight,  and fellow 2000AD fan (flash-back years tho) tonight and my mate reckons that Anderson and Orlok had a fling off-world, during the time Anderson hung up the badge...is this correct? why didn't she shoot him on sight??? typical PSI liberal...! :-)

how did they kill him then? I wold have thought Dredd would have put the bullet in personally!! Let me guess...lethal injection!! Its not much of a victory is it? I mean, he evaded capture for 20 years, caused millions to die, (or at least hundreds of thousands if we include Block-War amongst his tally) and FINALLY Dredd gets him!!

I'm actually surprised it was only two issues, I had pictured quite a long story...they kill him right? Well, he sure had it coming!! :-) Not to say Dreddy didn't give the Sov's a bit of provocation. I will try to track down Sin City tho...whats to lose? On top of Dredd, if I track down those back-issues, I get all the other stories as well. Cool++++++++++++++++
