Feel obliged to add in my bit now tha the thread has gone on for this long.

Generally i agree with the view that its not whether these guys come back or not, but its the quality of the stories that come with it.

One of the reasons I stopped reading tooth all those years ago was partly due to Strontium Dogs and a lot of the other stuff that came along at the same time (nothing to with the Final Solution story)

It wouold be intereting to see new characters from the same universe interspersed with perhaps the occational SD Alpha story.

Help! / Re: Job Decision
27 January, 2004, 03:06:54 PM
I've an idea where you're standing Jacob.  I waited for my current job for ages because they kept saying it was about to be announced.  In the end I'd waited so long I gave up and went for something else, only to have the job I was after appeared as I was offered interview for other post.

I pissed a few folk off turning down the interview (I was one of two to be interviewed) and aimed for the original job I wanted with no idea that I'd really get it.

All I can say is that it worked out for me and I'd rather be in a job that I'm happy at that one I'd be miserable in.

Probably doesn't help much does it?

I always had the impression that Dr Who was popular in America as a cult during the eighties espescially.  They had those big conventions in Chicago (I think) where Pertwee and Troughton had the famed water pistol fight.

I truely believe that the world is not as simply black and white, and easily compartmentalised as some on this post would seem to suggest.  As Dudley says, weird shit happens and we are often at a loss to explain how.  Just because there is no scientific explanation for something doesn't mean it doesn't happen.  It could be that our perception of it is wrong and one day we will explain it all scientifically.

After all, hundreds of years ago there were lots of *wrong* scientific explanations for things that at the time they just did not understand properly, or did not have the technology to explore.

And yes, I have had experiance with ghosts (or whatever they may be) and some other weird shit.

I refuse to close my mind to this stuff and debunk it as crass.  It may not be what people say it is but there has to be some explanation that eventually may be provable.

When I'm at work I'm afraid its a shirt and tie job for me (no suit though).

Drives the wife nuts for the ironing at the weekend but she won't let me do it for some reason.

Thanks to someones suggestion on a thread similar to this previously, I now use webshots filled with a variety of fantasy art that changes on a daily basis.  Keep adding new pics all the time.

If only OI could get the program that gets rid of the blue background on the writing.
