Final figures

Rose - 10.81 million viewers
The End of the World - 7.97 million viewers
The Unquiet Dead - 8.86 million viewers
Aliens of London - 7.63 million viewers ( which, with video playback added in, still beat Ant and Decs season finales 7.3 mill)

Overnights

World War Three - 7.26 million viewers (should gain 5-600,000 with timeshift?)

The final viewing figures aren't in yet for Aliens of London or WWIII - they'll probably gain another half mill - I think the figure you've got for Rose is excluding video peeps - wasnt the final tally nearer 11 million?... hold on a mo...

"So they put him on TV - that was really to mess us up.  superman on Television - they had a fat man play him; destroy the image, that was the name of the game. They forget the curl...
Then they proceeded to tell us in the dialogue exactly how it was on the Earth where Superman now lived:

"and who disguised as Clark Kent, fights the never ending battle for Truth, Justice...and the American Way?"  I always thought Truth and Justive WAS the American way."

Richie HAvens does a great little monologue about "truth, Justice and the American Way" - he pinpoints its origin to the 50s TV show rather than the comics - is that true?

DXB is correct - its the cover of the C64 Strontium Dog game "The death gauntlet", as opposed ot that lovely "The Killing" one

Nerd alert!

The back cover waffle on the stront book isnt quite right is it?

Mutants aren't in labour camps in Alphas time - they are in ghettoes, and arent allowed to work in "normal jobs" other than as SD agents (I envisage a black economy supporting these ghettoes, as well as money sent back by Stronts)

The whole point of the mutant war was so that the muties wouldnt be in labour camps, surely?

Also, it says he meets a new partner - Hitler?

"You should read more Dan Brown novels. Characters in those really do come out with lines like "The Illuminati have planted an anti-matter bomb in the Vatican!" "

Nice to see that Chris "It's the writing, stupid" Eccleston is reportedly appearing in the film version then... Quitter! ;)

"Oh yeah, and their car is red, not grey"

Sin Dex's Edsel has morality sensing paint - so when they are the good guys, the car is red, and when they are morally ambiguous, it goes grey - when theyre killing innocents, it changes again to black - it all makes sense now....

Hmm - Weren't the Eagle reprints something like the biggest selling indie comic at the time though?  His assertion is the Eagle and Quality reprints failed, but didnt they just run out of material?  They fan for the best part of a decade surely?

Ump - we get it already!

Honestly, you're missing a treat, but I'm sure the Beeb will be appropriately miffed at your protest! :)
