Let me start by offering deepest sympathy and best wishes to Ratty. I'm lucky enough never to have lost a close family member.
However. The drunk driver thing, i most certainly DO know all about. If the car i happened to be in a few years back hadn't been hit by a drunk driver, i would have a 3 yr old kid by now. I'm lucky to be able to walk. Yes its horrible, yes its unjust and i was a wreck for a long time. But however bad your past is, that's just what it is, the past. Things can improve but i won't tell you it's easy. It's a bitch. My (probably unwanted, but well meaning) advice to you, Ratty would be to find a positive way to get through it. Not until you feel good and ready, of course. This year i carried a 70 litre bag round the world on my buggered up back and in my current job, i deal with people who've had experiences like your brother and myself on a daily basis.
Having re-read this, i'm sure there's more i wanted to add and i'm sure i could have worded it better, but the bottom line is: If there's anything i can do to make things better, and you don't mind accepting help from a recreational pot smoker, drop me a line. Otherwise, i think i'll leave this thread alone in future.

Breaking bones hurts
Bungee jumping is great
I wanna do a parachute jump too, but it's so pricey...
Ooh, and BASE jumping. that looks like fun.
I'd like to get something branded on me, mainly for the experience, but i don't know what, or where, or who could do it
I bet surviving a shark attack is pretty cool...
I guess the last one is the only thing i really wouldn't wanna go through, but the others are still scary!

Piercings take longer to heal, and are more susceptible to accidental knocks and stuff while they heal, but a healing tatt is *far* more annoying IMO

Now. I believe we were talking about willies...

Many.
Left ear x6, Right ear x2 flesh tunnels (10mm +4mm), and 1 conch. Cheek, labret, nostril, bridge, eyebrow, navel
Ones which i aint got no more: septum, third eye, top lip, other nostril, another conch, both nips and thats all i'm telling you about lol!
I used to be a piercer, so ended up getting loads done.
Most of the piercings i lost have been as a result of having to take them out for something and not being able to put them back, just the one grew out on its own. Handy hint: If you ever need to have an x-ray, you can wear plastic jewellery, but you have to remove any metal. I wish i'd known that sooner...
I might get something else, dunno. I'm more into getting the tatts sorted at the mo.
What do i win?!

Surely the soundtrack is a redeeming feature?
