Demon chicken: If it's facial jewellery you want, nose, eyebrow or labret (middle of bottom lip) are all good for the beginner! If you want a BODY piercing, just go for it and get ya nipple done!

You want Wildcat matey. They're based in Preston st, Brighton, but most body piercers worth thier salt stock their stuff. They pretty much have a monopoly. For anything under 1.6 uk gauge, look for the micro bar range. They do tools too, but you may have to ask for the trade catalogue for those. Again, most piercers that stock Wildcat will have a catalogue in store.
A good tip for fine retainers is to buy a few of the needles (trade catalogue again) and use the plastic sleeve. Just cut it to the right size.
One thing to remember - always go longer for a pinna as they can be tricky.
I used to be a body piercer and i've got loads of stuff i've never worn. I'll get the micrometer and the steriliser out and see what i've got. If any fits, it's yours.
