Hurrah! For pointlessness.

It's a beautiful day here in Tankyland and I'm waiting to find out if i'll be spending an awesome afternoon falling off a surfboard.

Also I have this tune stuck in my head.

I'm quite lucky with hairdressers as there's two proper alternative types around here I trust with my increasingly unruly barnet. However, I was poor last time I needed a trim and decided against my better judgement to ask my mum to do it. It's now six months later and it still isn't as long as it was pre mum-based scissor carnage.
Spending today doing her own hair with dye or wool, depending on a coin toss, Tanky x

I'm off to this, in a silly outfit, to have a nasty accident involving a rodeo bull and lots of cheap tequila :D

I vaguely remember doing the glowing fruit + veg experiment at school. IIRC, effectiveness has got something to do with acidity or vinegar content.

I happen to be a bit of an expert on the fine art of potato launching. If you use a camping stove Jim, you can get a very good result in your own back garden without the risk of destroying the kitchen ceiling and with the added bonus that a camping stove is quite easy to aim with. Hold the spaghetti jar with an oven glove or something though, as it gets a bit warm.

Enjoy! :)

Mine isn't Tanky but Judge Aimee Nixon. Both Tank Girl and my current icon look a lot like me. Except that I now have more hair. :)

The Cloverfield thread from a little while ago. You know, the one about JJ Abrams new film. I can't find it in the search function and I need the links contained therein.

Righto then. I've got some major tune shopping to do tomorrow so in the meantime, have some extracts from last night's playlist:

Easy Star Allstars - Paranoid Android
Tim Armstrong - Among the dead
Mr Hudson + the Library - Too Late, Too Late
Cold War Kids - Hang me up to dry

Later that evening...

Biffy Clyro - Saturday Superhouse
Gallows - Abandon Ship
ShitDisco - I know Kung Fu
Hadouken! - Liquid Lives
PWEI - Def Con 1
Dan le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Thou Shalt Always Kill

I don't read a lot of the current prog threads as I'm so far behind everyone else. As such I don't feel like I have much to contribute a lot of the time. I still like a bit of off topic silliness although I do think the board has lost much of its sense of humour. Who started the thread isn't really important to me as its not necessarily an indicator of thread content. I've been here long enough to realise that threads can and do go off on one at a moments notice!
Generally I guess it just depends how much time I have. If I'm bored, I'll read most of it but if I've just got a spare 10 minutes I usually spend it on other forums.

Hmm, that reads a bit negative. To show it's not meant to, have a smiley :)

Ooh, fun!
Some bits I've noticed so far...

The text looks like Sanskrit. I can't read it, but one of the boffins on my favourite Lost site claims to...

How easily humanity is misleadâ?¦.

The Mezin feared that your kind might be so easily distracted, that All may be lead by One down the garden path, that your eyes and minds may be so easily clouded. You point to a date in the future that means nothing to our cause or your futureâ?¦

We have been here since mankind fought with sticks and bones, your technology may have improved but can the same be said for the human mind,
Most certainly a vile manipulator like Van Mantra will exploit this weakness in the masses and lead you all to ruin.

Clearly there are some among you who know the truth and may even be worthy of the Mezin, who have strength of mind and will to see what truly awaits and are not distractedâ?¦.

Clicking the left star makes outlook to pop up. The subject banner reads 'I am one of you, please help me' I bit and am now awaiting a vast amount of inevitable spam.
Puzzle part 2
spell out HA on the vertical lines and AS on the horizontal.
Puzzle part 3
is like that solitaire game with the marbles. Move the points of light about until there's one left
I am proper stuck on part 4.

If you rotate the photos and leave them alone for a bit, they start moving about, very slowly, on their own. Also, what's that between the two faces on the second photo?
