Not really.  All his previous posts on other threads turned into the hive mind thing once he changed his user id and icon.
Might try that myself, to reflect my new status as Professor of Woodland Maulings at Hull Uni.

How can a hive mind be greater than the sum of its parts, Dud?  Surely its very existence negates creativity, which makes it LESS than the sum of its parts as it drags everyone else down to its level?  Or do you differentiate between collective socialism and pack mentality?  Its just I've never seen any great difference between the two.

Anyone want to post that picture of Dudley in the French maid's outfit?  Failing that, Disco Hitler or Liberal Stalin will do.

Yeah, but if you only own one, there seems to be an over-riding instinct to trash everyone else's choice of games platform.  I don't understand where this insecurity comes from in xbox owners, though - but they certainly seem to be the most vocal about how superior their machine is.  I like Halo, but that's about it, and the only reason I have a ps2 is because the games are cheap as chips - I just bought Tony Hawk 4 for ?3.99 while I was out for a dander.  Bargain.

Hmmmm.  Something's just occurred to me.

Mac vs PC.
Xbox vs PS2.
Megadrive vs Snes.

You never really grow out of these childish little 'mine's better than yours' games, do you?
I remember when it was Spectrum vs C64, but even then, I thought it was childish and stupid to be argueing over such a silly little thing.
Especially when the Spectrum was MILES better than C64.

Seems a tad elitist to elect one over another.  Certainly, there are elements which each platform has in its favour, but the Mac is generally superior only when used by dedicated artists and programmers, which begs why its adherants would so vehemently decry the alternative of using a PC.  A PC is a multi-media tool, while a Mac user IS a tool.
Elitist tossrags.

I've already said my piece on this score.  Give us an issue with a free water-pistol shaped like a lawgiver, and I'll buy TWO copies.
And another two, so my nephews can have one.

Have to agree with Garyp on that one too.  Sticky fingers is the only explanation for all the parcels I've had go missing over the years.
Having said that, Play.com and Amazon both replaced my missing stuff, no questions asked.

Same problem here.  They posted stuff as being available within 24 hours, which wasn't shipped after two months.
Obviously, I gave up at that point.
It's happened a few times, now.  And stuff I pre-ordered wasn't shipped after it became available, despite being listed as available for shipping within 24 hours on the site, meaning I had to re-order it.
Niggly stuff.

I'm probably the only one who gives a toss, but I can't wait for this one.  It has every Godzilla monster in it, even the American Godzilla.  If the link works, blink and you'll miss the half-pint asexual King Kong wannabe getting twatted aside by the real deal, almost as an afterthought...

Enterprise is too up it's own arse to be enjoyable.  Lighten up, you bunch of stiff-necked planks, this is supposed to be some great human endevour you're on, and you walk around displaying nary an emotion between you.
It takes a particular level of duffness to make Voyager look good, but, by God, does Enterprise ever do it.  It has one saving grace, though - it isn't Smallville.

I've got this problem with gangster movies, which means I don't really enjoy the Sopranos.  I'll have to take your word for it that it sucks a bit nowadays.

BUT...

I got the first two series' of the Shield on dvd for my birthday.  It might have the odd bit of cheesy dialogue, but that show seriously ROCKS.
I'm waiting until they start repeating it from the start again on FX before I start watching season 3, but I flicked through the episode on C5 last saturday by mistake and caught the bit where Acaveda confronted the guy who molested him - I'm SERIOUSLY looking forward to the third series now.

Well, no poster with mine, bland cover, no Droid Life, okay FS, a resounding 'not another "end of book" ending!" from meself at ABC, Cabs was alright, and it's good to see I'm not the only one who turns Dredd to face left when possible (to avoid drawing the eagle shoulderpad - hardest bit of the character to nail down, that).

Sort of a 'ticking over until something good starts' prog.

And what's wrong with puff bears?  I don't have a problem sharing my cave space with left-handers as long as they pull their share of the weight in time for hibernation (that joyous time of year when bears go to ground because the fuzz have come looking for all those missing campers).

Anyway, when you get right down to it - Bear vs Fish.

Rocket science it is not.

That's what we want you to think.

And anyway, can YOU catch, kill and eat a deer using only your animal cunning?  I don't think so.
