Ah, he'll probably wank himself into a magic coma one of these days - just send in a canny lawyer to get the next of kin to sign over the rights while the bald gibberish-obsessed goof is out cold.
That, or buy a controlling stock in Irn Bru and threaten to take it off the shelves.

Who said anything about Cuba?  I was talking about the made-up political state in the latest Judge Dredd story in the Megazine.

People shouldn't slag Cuba off, in my opinion.  It's supposed to be a lovely place to visit and has a great health service.

I found Rennie's Dredd politically simplistic.  Certainly, those people were living under a corrupt communist regime which was basically a glorified personality cult with a dictator oppressing and murdering his people and political opponants, but what about all the good stuff he probably does, eh?  Like open the country to tourists and stuff.  And there's probably a great health service, too.
Give him a few years to kill off loads of people and crush dissenting voices entirely and the crusty students of the world will be saying how great the country is.

SPOILER

No, really.

The Scottish lass taking care of the brain-dead chap on the tv early in the film hears Professor Xavier say "hello Moira."  Might mean that a new actor would have to play the role in any sequel (which hasn't been ruled out, apparantly) or tv show.

I'd go for the PS3, then.  I thought the 360 would be reliable on the shooty-shooty front at least, but the pig-ugly graphics and gameplay of Perfect Dark Zero made me feel like the purchase of the machine itself was a waste.  I actually dug out Mace Griffin and played that instead.

He would see a plain white box adorned with the words "feed me money".

I didn't know that about the rootkit.  That's lousy.  I pictured the PS3 to be a reliable workhorse rather than anything especially creative or outstanding - an Xbox 360, basically.  Not in love with all the stuff coming to light about the price, the attitude to gamers, etc.  Probably shooting themselves in the foot with all these rumours coming out as the launch approaches - they can't all be attributed to anti-marketing by Microsoft, so there's probably a great deal that needs to be clarified and expanded upon before the machine hits shops.  I shan't be bothering for a while, as I've learned my lesson with the 360.  based on the games I've played, how much gametime I've logged, and how disappointed I was by PDZ, I'd have to say it was a pretty shite machine.

Quite looking forward to Wii Zelda and Phoenix Wright, though - helped in no small way by the assurance that the machine will be available "cheap, and this year".

My brother is a regular on the site, and the amount of bile and bullshit is legendary.  He actually mentioned that story to me and maintains that it's a bit of a fib - though if that were the case, it sounds libelous to me.

It was daft.  Y'know - unlike all the other episodes.
I thought it was the poorest episode so far, for me - lots of fan-script-type stuff.  Like the kid's speech where he only would have got to the second or third word before his dad twatted him if he'd tried that in reality, and how the people without faces breathed without visible means, how unconvincing Tennant is as a sci-fi hard man.
All of which it is completely pointless to criticise, as it's only a kids' show, anyway.
I like the look of next weeks' episode, although the plot does seem reminiscent of perpetual Channel 5 early morning filler 'Within The Rock', except that didn't have Cthulu in it.  He gets about a bit, that lad.

Anderson can retire because her jugs have started going south now she's pushing fifty.  You know, because of

I've said that about things so much that I've devalued the currency, so I resisted saying it here.
There is a creeping suspicion that this may be the case, though.

I've heard some people use the internet to check facts and stuff, but that just seems like a waste of good porn-time to me.
Although I did find out what the bit after the end credits was.

I don't recall the teen characters being quite so annoying in the second one as they are here.  The actress who plays Kitty stares off-camera a bit too much and reminded me of Bobby from King of the Hill, plus she walks like she needs a poo when in costume.  Iceman and the fire-making chap are a bit too vapid, but they're not exactly deep characters to begin with.  Thought it owed a lot to Ultimate X-Men in terms of execution, and pretty much lifts the Grant Morrison/Joss Whedon storylines wholesale, though going into specifics would spoiler a few things.
It's all right.  My main gripe with the first two was that the second one was the closer of the two to actually being something more than an extended advertisement for its sequel.  This one feels more like an actual movie.

I wonder which came first - Vinnie Jones' line "I'm the Juggernaught, Bitch", or the internet meme with the cartoon and the odd accent.  And I couldn't be arsed waiting for the end of the credits - what did I miss?
