Argueably didn't need to see that before sitting down to do some drawing.
He's come on a fair way from Book of the Dead, hasn't he?  Great Batman Begins material.

Top Gear reminds me of that guy who was arrested for shagging his car (or the exhaust pipe, at any rate).  Fetishising an impractical and wasteful method of transportation that warps the minds of perfectly normal and likeable people by transforming them into twats the moment they get behind the wheel.  Bus drivers hate people in cars, truckers hate bikers, bikers and car drivers hate everyone else on the road, everyone hates tractors and caravans, and so on and so on...  What bollocks.
The idea as a motorist that you have some inalienable right to the road that the rest of society beyond your windscreen does not is a dangerous one, and while I can't speak about what a liberal, sensible and loveable person Jeremy Clarkson is in real life, I can only commend his remarkable committment to method acting, as his development of his public persona as a denim-clad, loud-mouthed, misogynistic arsehole who needs a serious reality check and a slap is one of the greater achievements of the thespian tradecraft I've seen.

'Tis a space-h'penny, for the purchase of a viewing of the delights contained within.
Great book, and my dad HAS read it and enjoyed it.

I think you'll find that it's the population of Ireland referred to as 'twats' by the rest of us that use the words 'feck' and 'craic' - the rest of us don't pretend these sanitised/pseudo-words actually exist outside theme-park tv land.

To be sure.

Are you sure you don't have one of those viruses that takes a snapshot of your desktop and puts it on your computer as a seperate window?  Could be your explorer programme has simply packed up for a bit.

Don't download it, the affected account has been purged, etc.
That wasn't much of a hacking job, really.  At least the 2000adreview bug crashed some computers.
I'm almost offended at how rubbish it was.

I like the way they've tried to convince you you have to download it as 'nessecery'.

What's this guy got against 2000ad-related fansites?

One thing that bugged me about the Cybermen was that they didn't seem very driven.  The Borg in First Contact were pretty camp and unscary, but they did move with a purpose - not fast, not slow, just a sort of resigned stride and faith in their numbers.  The Cybermen, by contrast, sort of hold their arms out a bit and mince in a straight line towards a point somewhere off-camera.
Alternate Earth surely means Alternate Daleks on Alternate Skaro?  The most optimistic guess I've heard is that there'll be a war between alternate Cybermen/alternate Daleks led by Darth Trigger on his cyber-sofa that invades the 'real' Earth in the season finale.

And the Torchwood thing is really going to have to be good - they've pushed the whole thing too hard with incredibly unsubtle references and a follow-up spin-off series.  It could be a bit of a white elephant if not done right.  Captain Jack must be a shoe-in for the season finale, though.

I reckon she'll be the head honcho at Torchwood, myself.
I suggested that the Cybermen might be back at the season finale, but I wasn't being entirely serious, on account of it being too obvious a plot.

Okay episode, but too overblown, and Tennant really needs to reel it in a bit - 'kids show' does not automatically mean a pantomime.

I feel sorry for this thread.  And its three dead brothers.
I know I've heard of these books before, but I can't be right in thinking it was when Tharg offered the movie version as a prize in some competition, can I?

I didn't get Sabbath, as hoped.

I'd like to see a complete Doomsday reprint, as I haven't read the Megazine portion of the story.
For purely financial reasons, a reprint of Sleeze 'n' Ryder would be a good idea

/puts on riot gear

because then you could sell it off the back of Garth Ennis' current fame.  Or blackmail him into writing something else in exchange for SNR never, ever being reprinted again - though he might very well see this as the bluff it is, considering the low quality of the strip (and he should know).
