I think it might be due to allowing more than 10 separate answers. If you delete it and the end the number of answers as 1, it should work.

I think I must have introduced a bug when allowing the boarder awards and therefore normal polls more than 10 responses.

I've put a link direct to the store (which may bypass the Flash stuff) direct from the book profile pages.

We get them every summer in the South of France. I used to get them confused with crickets. Cicadas go silent when you get close, so they are pretty difficult to spot in small numbers.

My wife and I differ on how we pronouce the word though, which is somewhat confusing to Finn (and me).

I say si-car-da

She says shi-cay-da

Any concensus?

A good place to start would be finding Henry Flint and Will Logan's table, where Henry will be selling artwork and Will will be touting Carlos pages (but not actually selling them, since most of the physical pages are still in Andorra).

Also check out the small press tables for Solar Wind, Dogbreath, etc.

I'll be carrying an empty A2 portfolio (until I've bought stuff). I'll be there on Saturday only.

BTW, I'll be at Bristol on the Saturday only. If there are any pages of mine that you would see before buying (apart from oversized pages like Halo Jones Book 3) or any Durham Red pages I can ask Mark Harrison to bring, please let me know asap.

Steve is one of several artists I've chatted to about the original artwork lists on this site, who at the time sounded quite positive about it, but hasn't done anything about it yet.

In that case I'd probably offer you ?200 for it.

If someone had a monopoly on Bad Company, Halo Jones, or D.R. & Quinch (all in the top 20 thrills with few different artists) then the situation might be different. In fact it is different. Steve Yeowell has a monopoly on Zenith artwork. His other work doesn't command a particularly high price, but any decent page of Zenith would probably go for ?150, until there were enough pages out there to decrease the demand.

I'd agree with a base minimum ?150 for any Mike McMahon Dredd or Slaine page. I'd pay that, and I'm sure many other people would too. Rufus has a monopoly, and has therefore effectively pushed the price up above other equivalent 2000AD artists. That said, Nemesis by Kevin O'Neill wouldn't be much cheaper.

I can't see from the photo whether Dredd himself features in the page. If it does show a decent pic of Dredd then that would push it closer to ?200.

Rob also has a monopoly - on Meldown Man - but I don't think there are enough dissappointed Meltdown Man fans out there for it to have a significant effect on the value.

IMHO

If the results are sent to binaries@2000adonline.com then I'll pick the best on Monday. Feel free to post your images to this thread before then.

I'm afraid Demonizer won't be making use of this thread (or any others).
