The page already exists. What I need is the following:

One or more images (between 500 and 650 pixels wide)
Manufacturer
Product Name
Year of release
Notes (optional)

Please send them to binaries@2000adonline.com

Cheers,

Wake

Unfortunately, I think the whole story thing works better if the artwork is lettered. Having a whole prog of art would be just too expensive, but a full 5/6 page story would look pretty cool in my A2 folder, so long as it wasn't just one episode from a longer story.

I've only started collecting artwork recently too, but have done fairly well. Here's the list, in approx order of acquistion.

Sinister Dexter by S.B. Davis from about prog 1202. The one with the robo-alligator and a 2CV in the top left panel (which is why I bought it). This was my first art buy, direct from Simon.

Harlem Heroes by Dave Gibbons - title page showing Artie Gruber from prog 16.

Rogue Trooper by Cam Kennedy showing Gunnar flying into Rogue's hands so he can kill a Nort wearing a Roman style helmet.

Judge Dredd by Steve Dillon from City of the Damned

Dan Dare by Belardinelli - centre pages from prog 15 (crash of the Titan I.C.) bought from Pete's Comics at DreddCon:2

Judge Dredd by Ron Smith, with Dredd smiling as he picks up his tight boots. (2000AD Online Classifieds)

4 remaining Judge Dredd pages by Jock (from Rampots and Crossing Ken Dodd). Swapped with Jock for a lawgiver cast at Comics 2002.

Halo Jones part 2 page 2 by Ian Gibson showing Ludy who I played at Comics 2001 (eBay).

Robo-Hunter by Ian Gibson from Farewell my Billions (gift).

Judge Dredd - the Oxygen Desert by Ian Gibson. Center spread from prog 48 (eBay).

I also won a page of Dan Dare from prog 1 at bid-up.tv, but they are refusing to supply it. I think it's because the price wasn't high enough.

All of my artwork is now in an A2 presentation portfolio (along with some posters) apart from the Dan Dare double spread which is too large, so it's framed on the wall in front of me at work.

Help! / Re: Cursed Earth Toys?

I still have a spare unboxed Land Raider (no missiles) since I sold rmoore a mint in damaged box one...which means that the only boxed example I have left is the one in the Dredd: The Law exhibition, along with my SD Studios helmet, Medicom Dredd action figure, prop prototype lawgiver, etc.

And here is a mini-interview with Pat Mills!

Wake: Was the packaging (Adventure 2000, K2001, etc) related to 2000AD or just a coincidence?

Pat Mills: Pure coincidence.

What was the nature of the deal? At a guess something like this could have happened without money changing hands. Lesney got free advertising for their toys and 2000AD got a cool vehicle to use in Dredd.

Exactly!  I think I may have written some mini comic strips for them subsequently for their packaging.  I recall meeting their merchandising
manager, but I think they had a change of plan or something.

Anything you can remember about this deal would be great.

That was it really. A lot of  fantasy machinery was (and is) poorly designed and it made a difference having a 3d model.  We took hardware extremely seriously

For an example of poorly designed spaceships, to prove my point, look for a long thin  spaceship around that time in 2000AD  (or maybe a little earlier) which has "Bic" (the biro) added discreetly along the side by someone. Think it was an Alan Hebden story. Can't remember the artist.

I don't know the answer to how it came about, but I can answer another question you asked earlier.

Of the 7 or more Land Raiders I've owned, I have 1 which has an unwarped windscreen. All the others (including several boxed examples) have a gap on the left hand corner where the plastic is warped. I don't know if they were like this back in 1978, but it seems to be a standard defect now.

Lesney Matchbox K2001 Raider Command. AFAIK, the model was created before 2000AD, but permission was given for it's use in the comic.

I have a spare one for sale (without missiles or box) for ?15.

News / Re: 2000AD Back issue prices going...

It's not that crazy. Prog 3 has a free gift too I think and that's less than ?1 per prog, before you even include the annuals and specials.

I think it's a real price, whereas often you would only be able to shift that many progs  at a 'dealer price', i.e. closer to ?500.

General / Re: Greatest Prog Cover

There's actually a page for the top covers. However, until I add cover voting to the covers zone, as opposed to having to go through the prog profile pages, I have decided not to make this page generally available.

Prog 500 is winning.

It's the site. In the USA Daylight saving time runs between different dates than BST does here...so unless I make some manual changes, the time will be wrong until the end of the month when we change to GMT.

I thought it was only going to be for a week. Sorry.

Sorry. I tried to fix the time. Your posts were being sent a hour into the past, so therefore weren't appearing in the last half hour of messages. It's mended now, and I've added the ability to turn of icons on the message index. Type "/bbsicons 0" in the chat room.

"You said this" - "No I bleedin' didn't"

That's why I would only ever allow editing of messages which have not yet been replied to and/or within a short time limit...e.g. 5 mins.

Another possibility would be to add a preview step...so the message isn't finalised until it has been confirmed.

I haven't enabled easy quoting because I don't like the resulting endless message people post to e.g. alt.comics.2000ad or the 2000AD Yahoo groups which are basically the original message with just 1 or 2 lines added.

Post counts can easily be done, but does it add anything beyond the ability to see a poster's 50 most recent messages. People were very easily able to tell that you hadn't posted before.

Email tracking is already in place. Go to the chat room and type "/bbs 2" to receive email replies to your message board posts. I'm set to "/bbs 1" which means I get every single message board message as an email.

I feel that while subsections make the board neat and tidy, they make it less usable on a day to day basis. I find them annoying on other boards I've tried, except where there are so many posts you have to ignore the bulk of them anyway.

A limited form of editing is a possibility when I get around to writing it.

IMHO, changing to another board would require a lot of work for little gain. I would want the board to be fully integrated into the site, which means taking usernames from the registration database and having the pages with the standard header and footers.

The popularity of the database chat room is a triumph of integration over funtionality. The IRC chat room is smoother and more powerful, but the database chat room is better integrated with the site. I wish I could write a chat room which was both, but I can't and no-one else has offered to write or convert one for me.
