I'm in two minds about an edit function, which is why there isn't one yet. In principle I have no problem with messages being edited or even deleted by their authors if they have not been replied to yet. However, if there has already been a reply, I would prefer not to allow the original message to be changed.

Deletion of the only message in a thread could cause a problem if a new thread has been created later, since it would leave a gap in the numbers.

I may try and add some form of editing for immediate changes.

What else does ikonboard have that you can't find here? I know most boards have sub-sections, but that's something I particularly want to avoid since it means people don't see all the current threads by default on a single page. There isn't enough traffic to necessitate multiple sections.

I find the icons on the messageindex page slow it down a bit, so I may add the ability to turn them off. They do look good though, and I don't think it would work if they were only displayed for the most recent poster.

Please read the following message thread.

Perhaps I should put this in the Help section.

Here is the current draft of a 2000AD version..thanks Trough. The next question is where to put it. The Submissions zone? A spinoff site like Judge Pal? Does it need any bells and whistles or just more content?

He's a [something][something], She's a [something][something]. They [something]!

Preferably something a little further from the "They fight crime" format.

I wasn't even going to bother looking at the source code. I can easily write it in php/mysql from scratch.

The easiest for me would be an Excel Spread sheet where each part of the sentence is a different column, and each of the possible choices for that part is a different row. Each column can have a different number of rows...some may only have 1 - the equivalent of "He's a", "She's a".

Once someone has decided the overall structure of the sentences, and any fixed bits, it would be easy enough for other people to suggest more variations.

If anyone wants to write the possibilities for a 2000AD version of this, I'd be more than happy to do the coding and put it on the site.

Choose one of the 2000AD related sections, and add your data. 0 means you want something, 1 or blank means you don't. 2 or more means you have a spare.

Current sections are:
Dredd: TCG; Citadel Miniatures, Titan Miniatures, Reaction Figures, 2000AD Badges, and Judge Dredd trading cards.

I'll add IndyHeroClix when they come out.

Any more suggestions?

Using the Thrillseeker to search for Judge Dredd stories between 1200 and 1300 with art by Cam Kennedy, I quickly found the answer:

Judge Dredd
SABs 3 episodes (Progs 1200 to 1202)
Script: John Wagner, Artist: Cam Kennedy, Colour: Chris Blythe
Thrill Power: 7.50 (6 votes)

Cheers,

Wake

BTW, is the Judge Dredd lorry actually the Judge Dredd fair ride?
