PM sent. I have a spare ticket because I bought one for my wife who now isn't going.

Quote from: Steve Green on 30 April, 2011, 06:55:31 PMThat looks like one of Wake's helmets - which he was selling at Kapow for less than that

I'm pretty sure it's not one of mine. The shape doesn't look right, and it isn't lined. On the other hand the respirator badge does look like one of mine. I sold several by themselves so people could put them on their own fan helmets and I guess that that is what has happened here.

The original artwork for the new cover arrived today:

Brendan sent me the roughs as well, which I've added to the Artwork gallery page.

I'll wait until the story has been published before putting any pages I have left by then on the site.

I found this link off the Rebellion uk site and this was the only one with a forum that encouraged community participation.

But I'm wondering if this is an official rebellion games forum, where we can talk about things like the upcoming sniper elite sequel and possible other sequels.

or is it kinda like a fan only thing?

This forum is mostly populated by 2000 AD fans, but it (like 2000 AD) is owned by Rebellion and you are very welcome to discuss any Rebellion games in the Games area.

I have deleted the "Enough" account. Whether it was Scojo or not is irrelevant, since the account was obviously only registered to enter into this debate. If it was in fact from an existing boarder, then they should have used their own account. If it was neither Scojo, nor an existing boarder then should not have started their time on 2000AD Online with that post.

Quote from: dweezil2 on 21 April, 2011, 09:26:35 AMBrilliant stuff! Wasn't that image used on a Meg cover?

I can't see it on BARNEY, but it's similar to this one:

Any chance of a downloadable MP3*? I'm getting requests to install a missing plugin on that page and then being told there is no such plugin available.

* Or if you are worried about bandwidth I can upload it to Tumblr.

It's in Windows Media .wma format at the moment. I'll see about converting it to .mp3 of you could try and download the file. I'll add a link on the page.

I've uploaded the 2000AD talk here

http://www.2000ad.org/audio/kapow2011.php

Does anyone have a photo of the panel that I can use on the page?

QuoteSeeing as Wake asked if I could record the panel on his digital voice recorder and as I was sat at the front, I did.

Are you going to post in anywhere? I wouldn't mind a listen...

I'll sort that out in the next day or two. Thanks muchly to CF to getting a front row seat with my recorder.

I have a great time, though I didn't get to see much beyond my table.

Took over 200 photos, mostly of people wearing my Dredd helmet. If you're in the album, please tag yourself.

Sold all 30 Dredd badges, all 15 Zarjazes, all 5 FutureQuakes, around 4 pages of artwork and 2 Dredd helmets.
#87
I had a good, if hot, day.

Dredd badges sold out (apart from two display copies, and one that's now reserved)

Zarjaz sold out (15 copies)
FutureQuake down to 1 copy left out of 5.
Lot'a of photos of people wearing the helmet.

Shame I couldn't make any of the talks or see many creators (though Brendan said hi, which was cool).

Tomorrow I'll have 5 helmets to sell, but not much else, since noone seems tempted by the Blake's 7 badges.

Cheers,

Wake

And I'd like to get a photo of a Judge Minty judge alongside my Termight Replicas version.

The bindings of the Titan books were certainly not up to their reproduction quality.
#90
The original Titan books are the only ones that printed the b/w stories from the original artwork (or possibly the original transparencies, not that it makes a difference). Since the paper quality is better than the original progs, they have better than original production quality.

Since then the original artwork has been dispersed and most of the transparencies have been lost or damaged and since current production methods are different then even an original transparency would have to be rescanned which would result in a loss of quality.

To print something now, my understanding is that the best options for scanning are:

1) Original artwork
2) Original transparencies
3) Titan GNs
4) Original progs (and therefore greyscale the centre pages and back covers).

and for many stories option 4 is the best available.
