I have some more files to upload from home this evening. After this if will probably be a case of resending me missing files or at least telling me what's missing.

2000adreview.co.uk has been on the same server since January.

The server got hacked so it was decided to wipe it clean and reinstall everything from scratch.

Some files back not be up to date or may be missing since I maintain the site from both home and work, but most of it should be okay now.

Wow! What a great shot. That's a lot better than I managed with my digital SLR (an Olympus EVolt-500 which I'm still trying to get to grips with).

I've just booked Novotel for £59 for a double room on the Saturday night. It looks like all the twin rooms must have gone already.

Film & TV / Re: NO SKY 1 FOR NTL/VIRGIN.........
04 March, 2007, 03:53:19 PM
Losing Sky One has encouraged me to investigate bittorrent for the first time. I found tonight's episode of 24 on mininova and downloaded it in a couple of hours. The downloaded file looked a bit weird because it looked like it contained around 20 separate rar files but when I extracted the first one it gave me an avi of the complete episode.

On the other hand, when I tried to download Angel - Smile Time which I missed first time around it wouldn't download at all - presumably because there was only one 'seed'.

I'll need to watch my bandwidth though. I think it's limited and as soon as I had a downloaded episode I found I was uploading it again to other people. Since I don't want to be just a leecher, I set the upload speed to very slow.

I did find 24 for sale on bittorrent but it was USA only.

All domains on the server are probably affected - so that's 2000ad.org, 2000adreview.co.uk and the subscriptions and back issues services.

Announcements / Site sendmail down
28 February, 2007, 12:41:05 PM
The 2000AD Online sendmail system was turned off yesterday so that a problem with it could be investigated. Therefore no emails are currently being sent by the site. I'll post any updates to this thread.

Help! / Re: Web problem with IE rendering....
22 February, 2007, 10:00:16 AM
Thanks guys. I went for body {margin: 0; padding: 0;} since otherwise I'd have to have added margins to other elements. It seems to be fine now.

I've links to a page in the new Brookes style so that anyone who's interested can see whether they think the html source code is any better than the old one.

Help! / Web problem with IE rendering
21 February, 2007, 03:13:44 PM
I've made some changes to my work webpages and for some reason, although it's fine in Firefox, IE 7 gives a white border around the red border. Initially this was on all four sides but by enclosing the page in a div tag <div style="position: absolute; left: 0px; top: 0px; width: 100%;"> I've managed to remove the white borders from the top, left and bottom but not the right.

I figured it didn't really matter because the site is being rebranded very soon anyway but now I'm getting grief about it.

Please help! I can provide the css file to anyone who thinks they might be able to solve it.

Click HERE for a page which seems to work in Firefox and IE 7 but is apparently broken in IE 6. The pages I'm trying to fix are supposed to be gearing up the old content for the new branding.

Help! / Re: Pictures/ images/ How?...
17 February, 2007, 12:47:32 PM
For help click help

"The image must already exist on the internet. If the image is on the 2000AD website you can put the 'relative' path, e.g. images/icons/wake.gif. On the other hand, if the image is on another website you must include the full URL, including http://"

Does this answer your question, or do you need help with how to get pictures from your computer to the internet?
