It'd be nice if the Sovs were backing Total War with finance and ordinance, in a geo-politics kinda way.

Slip in the Kazan clone, and bam, we got ourselves some Mega-City mayhem in a can.

I loved my three years as a student bum in London (at the University of Westminster, which isn't half as classy as its name).

Don't listen to the Fish and the other city-hating fools! It's a great city to be a student in.

"No nipples? I was born that way you bastards!"

(and it is a ghastly cover).

Don't get me wrong, Robo-Hunter is good in the right hands. Those hands being Grant and Gibson. But it's not by any means something I'll ever be excited about in the way I was about Terror, the return of Stront, or the sporadic appearances of the ABC's.

Would someone with the new Frazer Irving comic fancy doing a scan for me?

I was one of the poor fools who got it from somewhere other than HMV.

I thought it just had the original prog story about Mary. I didn't think the plotholes sections were by Frazer - they were done by Edgar Wright's brother, weren't they? He did the Grange Hill stuff in series 2 of Spaced.

Unemployment has drastically reduced my booze-fund, so it's an all-day-and-back affair for me too.

Pah.

Something that brings a lump to my throat, like the last few chapters of The Romanov Empire or moments in Preacher.

Something that has me grinding my teeth in anticipation for the next installment, even if it's only a week away.

Something to happen that so goes against my expectations but doesn't seem ridiculous, and makes my jaw audibly drop in surprise.

Personally, Carlos' coloured work makes me want to rub the prog all over my face and make noises like Tony Tiger.

It's grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!

Dredd....not as bad as Snozzbournes but....just oddly pointless. Totally mismatched with the art. Just bloody tedious.

I keep expecting Cabs to balls up or come to an abrupt end, but Rennie's by far exceeded my pre-series stupidly high expectations. And Mikey Ness was back! Despite his tiny, tiny, tiny role so far I love the dirty Leith soapdodger.

Stront - very nice, very nice indeed. Loaded with potential, and you know it's gonna pay off.

Robohunter - never been a big fan, but it didn't get on my tits, and I'll never argue against the return of an on-form Slade.

Asylum 2 - hooray for Boo Cook!

It was someone's leaving piss-up on the Friday, so those of us with the power to move had a few blunts and laughed at the shittiness of Battlefield Earth.

I'd known it was supposed to be bad....but not THAT bad.

"You mean people to see, things to do?
"Nope."
