Well done Wake, yet another swift move to improve the site. This is the only board I've been on where I really feel we're listened to and valued!

As a lot of people seem to like arguing with rc, why not have a specific thread? As pvs says, it's spreading through various other threads and taking over!!

As far as video game magazines go, CVG had a period up until about 97/98 where they were REALLY good. Very honest, personal and thorough. Respect for games, talent and personality. They even had the quirky but cool 'high five' rating system (1-awful, 2-very flawed, unlikely to be enjoyed, 3-not bad. might get fun from it, 4-good! solid game, well worth a play. Great stuff, 5-creme de la creme)
And they did that with a hand holding up fingers. It was really fun, but they suddenly, for no good reason, seemed to fire a load of staff, then changed the logo and style of the mag, ripped up all the good stuff, and became a generic mag. When I last saw them they were even rating things out of 10. Switching to stars when they overhauled it was bad enough, but that's just stupid. Eesh...

Real shame!!

I kind of like Boy's Toys. Gadgets and suchlike, films, DVDs, electronics, given honest reviews in language that we can understand relatively easily while still telling us all we need to know.

Best sound clips from the trailer:

'Jack, President Kennedy was a white man'
'They dyed me this colour!'

'Don't make me use my stuff on ya baby'

Provided I survive the initial blast I'm going to dedicate every ounce of strength left in my body to the extermination of the remainer of the human race. If we've managed to blow ourselves up at long last, I think it's time we were put down for good. Luckily I'm just about crazy enough to believe that and follow through...

Nah. Few sports r worth the effort of watching. Playing yes, but I can't get into them properly unless it's an international tournament... That's always quite fun.

I don't have a problem most of the time, but a few recent ones (such as the Strontium Dog RIP thread) have just been beyond a joke and a bit beyond the level where you can just smile at it. Some people who just feel they HAVE to have the last word and address any points raised against them, and it just gets... well, silly!
It's easy to get carried away online, but we need to learn to occasionally let thing lie!

As with a lot of other strips, people saying that they don't like it, or don't like it at the moment because it's not clean cut 'nice, moral material' always seems really daft to me. If you want realistic portrayals of futuristic cities, you have to realise that there are going to be huge injustices that just don't change (eg. the mutant situation in Dredd) or that characters will do anything for cash, having grown up in a VERY nasty uncaring future society.
Characters don' always make moral decisions. That's life!

Hmph... another thread that's got silly. People just don't seem to want to debate properly. And if it isn't a debate, why keep it going? And why such personal reactions to certain people, either openly (in other threads) or gentle stabs here? Eesh...

Oh well...

rc, for gawd's sakes shut up! It's the fact you KEEP coming back with this sort of thing (and keep coming back at people) that is annoying others! PLEASE can we let this thread die now??
