Yes, it's the distribution thing - it's another 'rare' prog... or that's what the ebayers are trying to convince people...

Makes you appreciate the parlimentary system we have cos Bush wouldn't last five minutes, what a twat.

To be honest, it made me want to kill everyone. That and just.... people. Argh! I might settle for Judges, but I'd prefer the apocalypse...

Oh, oh, the soundtrack also. Great stuff on there...

And Night Of The Living Dead. when they were driving, the woman on the radio said the line from the news in NOTLD about the dead rising up and eating the flesh of the living etc. Why are these coming to me with such difficulty?? I barely shut up during the film cos I was spotting things...

It was. The Perfect. Movie.
Pegg is a genius. My girlfriend hates zombies, horror movies, and even Spaced, but loved it SO much.

I couldn't stop laughing. People looked at me when I laughed at dismemberment, but hey! The Queen part was genius, and I loved the lines throughout that were throwaway but so funny like 'Kill the Queen!' 'What?' 'I mean the jukebox'

So many refernces just tossed in for us lot, but that didn't interfere with the plot. I loved the part at the end, where the z-words had become part of popular culture (Zombies From Hell and the service industry report being my faves) and also what lurks in his shed.

What references did you pick up on? I'll come back when I've setlled down, but straight away there are a few I can remember:

28 Days Later (Rage infected monkeys on the news at the end)
Day Of The Dead (Thingy's dismemberment death)

Erm.... Bugger, mind's gone blank. I'll be back though.

Best. Movie. Ever.

Dredd - Very nice indeed. Violent battle, much damage done (Ocks goes down, several injuries) and the art is absolutely fantastic. It's nice to see KAryn making use of herself in such a destructive way. I was a bit worried she's just sit aside and pout while posing seductively if they got into a fight like this, but nope. She holds her own. Thinking, however, that even once they've got out, they're in a lot of trouble... I mean, it looks like an invasion from the Sov perspective doesn't it?

Sin/Dex - Very nice. I've been enjoying this run, and this story is just as good. The end was the best part (I liked the battle in the middle) but I had a problem with one line: 'Making the world an asshole free place, nine millimetres at a time...'
Haven't we already established that they don't just kill assholes? They kill whoever they're PAID to kill. Hm, careful there Dan...

Rogue Trooper - Very nice, very nice. I'm assuming this feeds into the old stories somehow, but I got most of it. It seemed very... .complete. And it was certainly enjoyable. Art was just... .Mwah!

Bec and Kawl - Nice, different stuff. Makes me giggle occasionally. Can't complain really.

Durham Red - Almost over now. I liked it (thought her going into Strontium Dog mode was pretty nice) and I'm looking forward toi the final conclusion, just to watch it all get destroyed...

Nerve Centre - More Chopper details here, sounds good! And a mention of that BBC Cult 'Vampires' thingy.

Input - Noticed that it revels that Robo-Hunter is back in prog 1406! From Grant and Gibson again. Huzzah! Unless it isn't your thing...
Oh, and is that a letter from Dudley I spy? Why yes, it might just be!

Am I the first then?? Or just the first to get to the board?

Thought I wouldn't get to read this for a while cos of Easter and Oxford, but here it is!

Only scanned so far, but here's first thoughts:

Cover - Nice, though I'm not sure about Karyn's hair on it... Oh well, nice pose, and the hair does add a hint of colour at least. Stands out, though the logo is SLIGHTLY obscured. Can live with it though, it's still mostly visible.

Droid Life - Genius. P14 got a Future Shock commisioned..... Woo!

When I wasn`t a Christian, I felt that the fuss about the allegedly true meaning of Christmas was hogwash, Christians should just admit that there is a separate secular holiday which has the same name and enjoy their own holiday.
Now I am a christian, I feel the same way.

That's exactly what I was trying to say, but nicely summarised and a lot clearer! Thanks Floyd

you are rubbing the Christians' noses in it a little by cashing-in on the alleged torture and murder of our Lord with your disregard and chocolate eggs out

I'm sorry, how am I 'cashing in'? It has no religious significance at all for me, but I'm willing to observe them and tolerate them. I should have said that it isn't just to avoid trouble, but also because I know it is important to a lot of people and I'm mindful of that.

And anyway, I was always taught that the 'murder and torture' of Jesus was a good thing!! Something to celebrate! He died for our sins, tragic loss but it's why he was here, huzzah etc. He knew it was going to happen, and he let it.
But I'm not a theologist. And, like most folk, I can get quite worked up on this particular subject, so once again I'm going to put it down and step away.

Easter is cool.
Choccy eggs are good.

Yay Jesus

And holidays.

Christmas is good, but only for the childishness, and the cool carols, and the magical atmosphere as a kid. It stopped being linked to Christ when I was about 4. I think it's nice to have a time of year that's just 'magical'.

I don't see the big deal over Easter, not being religious. Easter cards are ridiculous, never sent one and never will. The chocolate eggs are great. Again, Christ has nothing to do with it for me. But cos I don't want any trouble (and I like time off things) I'm totally fine with it being a holiday. Same to Christmas. I think a culture is richer for having a heritage and traditions that we still observe, and I'll continue to observe them.

I just wish that people would stop telling me to 'remmeber what Christmas is really all about'.
For me, it's about sleighbells and a log fire and snow, and a deep voice singing carols, and cards on the wall, and decorations, and food that we only have at that time of year, and cool things on the telly. I'm not remembering Jesus. I did not know Jesus. I have nothing to remember. Argh!

Aren't I just a filthy stinking atheist? Oh, and I know that people don't really mean 'remember Jesus' as in 'remember that time, at the last supper, when...'

I'll be quiet again now.

But that link is just... disturbing.....

Oh, forgot. Swing bys are the best bit, but film wise, the first part of Spidey 1 was the 'discovering powers' part, and bits where he used his powers in life for whatever reason. Just having fun with them.

So his powers are basically the coolest parts...

Just to clarify a bit, when I first saw the 'big proper' trailer for Spider-Man, it was one of the only times in my life I felt completely excited and carried away by the magic of a film. I went all tingly.

When he slips through the division 'tween that truck's cab and it's load, I felt the same way. Then landing on the perp's car bonnet.... Spidey is supposed to make you feel like 'it could be you'. Well that's what I'd do!! Doc Ock looks SO good - not fat, good hair and not stupid colours on his outfit. Spidey swinging through the city, whether it be with purpose or not, always makes me feel so happy!

Then I am like that... My favourite bit of all the Matrix movies was actually in one of the sequels - when Neo rips through the city with enough speed to pull the traffic up behind him...

I love the way it's pitched as though he's hunting some demon, then at the end says 'There is something out there in the darkness. Something terrifying. Something that will not stop until it gets revenge.'

'Me.'

And the Batman shots are then excellent.

I had an odd thing occur in a dream last night... It was a massive, complicated dream where I was in New York, trying to escape Lava. But the odd thing was, at one point I was in a multi-story carpark, and I stole a car...

And it was left hand drive. But in my dream, I didn't know why. It was only when I woke up I realised it was because I was in America. My mind got it right, but I couldn't figure it out. It just felt strange...
