apparently (lack of translation not withstanding) the problem with it is the original prodution had a real magic because of Michael Brandon's (out of ITV's Dempsey and Makepeace) portral of Jerry was apparently uncanny and made it brilliant David Soul (out of Amarica's Starsky & Hutch) wilst does a great effert as Jerry (and as i have worked with him and know how fecked up his back from that cool drop on to the car in the opening of Starsky & Hutch (he jarred his spine when he landed on his bum) he does work hard in the show) it isnt like jerry is there as with Michael Brandon so it loses a lot of its magic, apparently
