Why don't they make comics any more, just with one character? The way they used to do with Quality Comics? I used to love going down the newsagent and picking up the latest Dredd or Strontium Dog title without having to wade through crap I have no interest in.
I subscribed to the Megazine for over a year (I had a letter printed, some of you might recall me as a moaning twat), but I cancelled it as although I loved the Dredd stories I don't give a damn about Jack Point or the "Bendatti vendetta" or whatever it's called.
Give me a comic with JUST Dredd/Slaine/Strontium Dog stories, even reprints, and I'll buy them all the time.

I'm not angry, more....sour. Like Victor Meldrew. And I was being sarcastic about having a wee nob - it's actually a fucking monster! (like frankenstein).

I live in St Cleve. Wherever that is. And when my sub runs out I'll moan about something else, like how small my nob is.

Of the seven stories in Meg 220 how many are Judge Dredd stories? None. "Damned Ranger" is about the Chief Dounrey, with Dredd there as a a bit part player.
Does anyone else feel a little cheated? The thing is called "Judge Dredd Megazine" yet he only appears (briefly) in ONE story? Yes, more moaning from me - I haven't been happy with the Megazine during my subscription and I won't renew it so I don't expect to be moaning about it much more.

PS That cover. What is that all about?

Is this character still around these days, or has he been killed off? He was a favourite of mine.

I thought Fire Warrior was bland, boring crap, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Dredd game. I don't remember noticing any similarities, other than they're both FPSs.

Well I don't think it's quite as good as you think. I'm pretty sure it's not paid, I don't know much about it yet they haven't replied to my email. I guess it'll be a voluntary thing where people report UFO sightings then the investigator would visit them when they have time. Still interesting I think, don't see any reson not to give it a go!

Funny this should be mentioned today - I just applied to be a UFO investigator in Glasgow...

Well, some good replies there. I'm not baiting or trolling, just stating my opinion. Obviously I don't expect many folk here to agree with me - you're all fans of the mags as I said. Fair enough, but if everyone posted threads saying 2000AD was great it'd be bloody boring board wouldn't it? I'm just creating discussions.

FloydJK - "Boaby" is Scottish slang for Bobby. I have no idea why we say "Suck my boaby" though.

Well I am. But look at it this way - you all love 2000AD and the Meg, that's why you post here. Basically, you're happy, you buy the mags, Rebellion don't have to try that much to keep you paying them money.
Okay, fine.
Now for the Meg and 2000AD to grow they have to attract NEW readers and OLD readers who have stopped buying the mags for whatever reason. Like me.
So, as you see, my opinion is pretty important. Maybe Rebellion should do a poll of older readers to see what they think of recent Megs/Progs and find out what would make them buy the mags again. Isn't it time Dredd took his rightful place amongst the Batmen and X-Men of the world?
I personally want to be treated like an adult, with no Cookie monsters or "Buster" style artwork. I want heads caved in with pipes (like poor Robin, HA!), nudity (if it's integral to the plot) and maybe a sweary word, like "shit"? Too much to ask? Well, I'd also like some realistic artwork, just like the Anderson story this Meg gets - not the shit Cookie and Master Moves got. I could do better with a couple of crayons and a "How to draw Dennis the Menace" book FFS.
That's MY opinion, and Rebellion need such opinions to grow, so suck my boaby if you don't like it.
