Prog / Re: Prog 1536 - His City. His Law....

"It was a surprise to see Mean again, I thought he was wandering the Cursed Earth. "

Just goes to show, if it ain't Wagner, it ain't necessarily real. Fine by me :-) Great dredd. And Origins was perfect as well, as usual Wagner doesn't conform to expectations of a mega epic, instead it turns out to be a hotdog run with serious implications. And as for all the things it didn't talk about, great! There's more for him to tell then! All the whining on here has been crazy. The guy's just a master, I wish he wrote more comics.

Brilliant pic I remember that well. Perfect! Someone should post it on millarworld  to give him the kick in the arse he deserves!

If I recall correctly him and Morrison are no longer on speaking terms. Then again they are poles apart talent wise.

With his opening line in this post It seems the big Marvel cheques have made him forget where he came from.

And Civil War was a bit crap really.

News / Re: LET THE GALAXY CELEBRATE!........

Well the original Plan was perfect to have the last epsode of Origins in it but as that has proved impossible it would've been nice to see one of the Major reasons for the comic lasting 30 years (Dredd and Wagner) actually in the anniversary issue. Its great to see Pat Mills well represented in there. Pity there's no Wagner. Ah well.

Its a real pity that there's no Dredd strip by John Wagner in such a milestone of an issue. (nothing against Judgement which I'm enjoying a lot) But you know what I mean.

balls brothers, sooner or later and teenage tax consultant were all the business. I cannot believe Beck and Kawl aren't there. That's so unfunny its not even stupid. I'm still witing for a new series of the balls brothers!!

-'Total War' on the other hand... absolutely gripping from start to finish!-

Tordelback, there we agree completely, was like watching the comics equivalent of 24, I couldn't wait to read it each week!!

Origins is having the same effect.

"7. 'Wilderlands' is the worst thing John Wagner has ever written. It has fabulous Ezquerra and Hairsine art, but it just goes on and on and on, while one whiny colonist and useless judge after another runs afoul of the planet in a Pat Mills stylee. And then Mick Austin somehow fluffs the 'big reveal', and we find out that the bad guy was exactly who we thought it was about 20 interminable episodes earlier. And this is reading it in one sitting! "

Can't disagree more, I bought the hamlyn book off ebay recently and read it all again, and its great in its quirky disaster movie style. I also love the politics of it and castillo was a great character (she was killed off badly coupla years later. no one's safe).

Although I still maintain there's a missing episode before the mick austin one.

Of course '318', its been a while. It seemed that the story was building to some kind of all out war and I was really looking forward to it returning, but ah well not a sign. does anyone know what Nigel Dobbyn is doin now?

nah don't care about the spines (nice and all as they are) just wondering if any new editions would be slightly more complete.

Think you're right about the pit though. What a story! Well worth it. Off to ebay with me so!
