Hi.

I have a DVD competition proposal for the magazine - who do I talk to?

How do I get in touch with the editorial team to discuss a media promotion/competition the mag often runs - is there a media@2000adonline.com?

Wait until "Origins" resumes, or better still finally ends and then read it all in one go - you'll explode!

(and be much better for the experience than us poor saps!)

Christmas break, a dash of it & then bugger all.

I'm going back to grumble-land. Tar-a!

Just an "edit post" button?

Is that too much?

Oh and where's "Origins" got to?

The board could do with some fixing - I don't think "edit post" and "delete" options are asking too much.

Comes as standard these days - do you really want the multiple post mistake I made (yeah, I'm fucking stupid maybe!) done anymore?

Cyberspace is clogged enough without duplicative drivel from the likes of me!

(He said uncondescendingly)

Yeah - he's a good bloke. Likes a beer and is remarkably uncondescending. It's just his job is his attitude. He'd be killer back on Dredd alright!

We share a love for Guinness and comics, I've had a few with him

Off topic - my mate Keith was just on Casualty. My life is a never-ending roll of glamour and bemusement!

Thanks for understanding. Big hello to Garageman & Moonbeam, I'm reasonably consolable with a drink in me. Stiff upper chin engaged Paulvonscott - I'll live, just grumpily!

Anyway, I'm done whinging - it's so negative. I JUST MISS THAT STORY!

When Wagner & Exquerra hit - they hit HARD.

Yeah, I have been reading it 30 years and it's a significant part of my leisure time - helps me to unwind mid-week. I really DO like the mag and the current content is OK, I'm just not as moved while "Origins" is away.

I don't base my life around the anthologised stories within the comic, I just like them mostly and yeah, any exscuse to get twatted and shout "I am the law" a lot is OK with me and everyone, I think! (I claim my five pounds and space spinner for being the biggest "Origins" whinger on the board! LMAO)

Totally agree the current Dredd strip is nicely appropriate and they do need to get rid of that silly "Origins interlude" thing - it advertises a bad fact. Sorta rubs it in.

Anyway, in retrospect I shouldn't dis the work of the other creators, I just ain't really diggin "Stickleback" and the one with the monsters. Looking forward to the new Dante and am knocked out/curious as to whether SinDex will ever get a resolution - what a gutter!

If the capitalist at Rebellion wanted to squeeze a few more quid out of us Yank style (a REAL problem with this country in all aspects - I'm looking at you chavs & lazy coppers!) they could bung the full graphic out now & make WADS of dosh! No, I'm not Dez, but I have enjoyed his work.

Saw Steve Dillon down the boozer - he'd prob'ly finish "Origins" for a few barrels of Guinness, must ask him!

Hopefully the guys will sort the problem out post-haste, meanwhile I shall continue to sulk a bit.

Back to the pub for me - all the best!

Dx

(Ironic innit that a software company have such a cruddy message board)

Ah, I'm off to get drunk, people.

No hissies at anyone, but the mag meant a lot to me over 30 years & Origins concluding was gonna be the theme of the party I had planned.

All an anti-climax now, innit?

I'm sure we're all gutted. Let it out peeps, if you keep it in it'll consume you!

Have a great weekend - beer is calling!

Jedi out.

Helter Skelter started OK but got technobabbly & predictably fanwank. It also suffered from the "missing artist" syndrome but to be honest I wasnt that bothered.

I was enjoying it like a white knuckle ride!

I care in that nothing else in the prog pushes the buttons that way - how could it? "Origins" is the big, trumpeted MEGA epic.

With an ad break.

Sod PC & being all nice about it - I want what I pay for & I'm not gonna pretend I ain't p'd off. I'm VERY annoyed. What's next - a reality TV strip? With Graham Norton!?

Ah - I give up. I know I'm gonna get a load of "Well if you don't like it..." moderates shouting at me, well go ahead.  You're entitled to criticise (and maybe you'll get an eggfaced free subscription for it).

I'm happy to be castigated for having an honest opinion . I'll just say this - unlike US shows where a break is expected & planned, "Origins" has been profoundly spoilt by this unfortunate turn of events.

Afterall we do pay for it, mate, and to be honest Origins is about the only strip I give 2 shakes about - come to that, the last thing I really liked before that was Mandroid.

ABC WArriors - cool. Not too bothered about the rest although I must say Dirty Frank is very funny and a well-realised character and I did laugh a fair bit, but...

Rebellion shoulda looked at the possible cockups better with a big investment like "O" - my money's still on a snowboarding accident or illness for which I sympathise, but 2000AD feels a bit like ntl at present - no explanation & no date of repair.

I'm a bit concerned for the mag as a whole, maybe 30 years is enough.

Would be good to know whats up & when it comes back. Silence is as boring as TV at the moment.

Anyone know how to delete/edit posts btw?

I'm off to the pub.

And edit my bad spelling?

Anyone?

Mod, maybe delete the offending 4 extra posts - this is a doomy enough thread as it is, and I am NOT gonna moan any more, although I feel we are all justified to be VERY p'd off.

Don't feel you have to be all happy, patient LA LA & PC - we pay 'em for our Dredd!

Snowboarding accident?

I don't think a guy of Mr. E's talent would take such a risk and I doubt they failed to stump up the cash - contracts are more careful & solid than that.

Lost pages? Origins pages!! Not unless 2000AD has been re-staffed by dribbling morons - of course Customs & Excise are anchors as always.

Im goin' with the guys ill, although I kinda hoped these things (and especially an epic of this scale!) would have been more carefully planned ahead given the HUGE amount of trumpeting the rag did on this.

Egg on the face BIGTIME!

Filler stories are OK, but compared to what they are replacing they are excrement - you CAN'T braek an epic like this and expect ordinary/above average fare to compete.

I'm no longer bothered about getting my prog & don't care if I get the graphic of this any more - bad taste in the mouth.

I want rebellion to lose money from graphics sales anyway, and my faith in the comic has been seriously shaken after 30 years. This ain't no way to treat the kids, Thargy baby!

Anyway, I'm going to grunt and moan about the police giving fixed penaltys to people who make comical snow-penises & ignore chavs n paedos.

It's only a comic... but it used to be "The galaxys greatest".

Happy non-anniversary - have another egg!
