Games / Re: Rogue Trooper: The Quartz Zone Massacre (Wii)
08 February, 2010, 10:20:52 PM
Went back and finished this off tonight. Still love the Robocop/Transformers references during the climactic battle. I guess I'm the only guy buying traditional games for the Wii. Also, it's not only casual game that sell for the Wii, first-party Nintendo stuff tends to do excellent numbers - Mario Kart & New Super Mario Bros being prime examples.

There was reference to this game on the recent ign nintendo podcast where they alluded to RT Wii only selling about 4000 copies, and that a member of the development team had contacted them to suggest that ign not reviewing the game contributed to the sales.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I'm related to Bruce Lee.

My uncle's wife's cousin married his niece. I swear to god I'm not making that up.

That and I once took a shit in the next cubicle over from Kevin Keegan.

Other Reviews / Re: Vanguard

On the subject of the 100 Vanguard trades, we should see how many of them we can account for. I've got one, and a friend of mine has another, so that's 2...

Books & Comics / Re: Whats everyone reading?

I've been reading 100 Bullets, an issue a day. Just read issue 89. Long, hard slog, and it's no easier to follow. Still, I love it so...

Prog / Re: Prog 1620 - Mega-City's Most Wanted.

Nice to see I'm still scheduled to buy Rogue Trooper again, although wouldn't it work better for the casual gamer if the release date was actually featured, to prevent the typical wii owner assuming that QZM is available now?

Classifieds / Dredd Case Files on Ebay
24 January, 2009, 06:21:30 PM
Hey guys. Dunno if anyone's interested, but I'm in serious financial bother what with everything going on (baby due in 2 weeks, wife made redundant etc.), and I've put my run of Dredd case files on ebay, along with some other stuff. if anyone needs gaps in collections plugging, I've listed 1-11 separately, and if you need anything else 2000AD related that I might have, let me know.
Thanks.

It got 2/3 covers because it's by Pat Mills and he'll snap his crayons if Tharg doesn't do what he wants.

Then I'd vote no.

A Tor Cyan GN though, now there's an idea...  :D

Nice idea. Although do Rebellion own the rights to this stuff? Because if not, surely that drives up costs again...

I'd love to see this stuff back in print though.

I'm with Logan on this one - I've only been reading for a mere 6 years, but this is the worst period I've been through. Much of it isn't 'bad', but so much of it lacks the magic of about 4 or 5 years ago. I've given serious thought to dropping the meg till Simping Detective comes back, and I'm going to take a long look at the prog early next year as even Dante might not be worth £2 a week.

Rough times indeed.

Any chance of the Dante in a different colour?
