Hello again :)

In reply to spacemanspliff, I really enjoyed playing SWG (Bria server) until the CU came about, though I still played it due to the large amount of friends I had made on there.
NGE killed it and any enjoyment I had in that game :/

As for what kind of style would i like to see from a 2000ad MMO, I really couldn't say, though an open sandbox type of game would be preferable, like the original SWG.
Even something like Coh/CoV would work I imagine, giving players a choise of Lawman or Lawbreaker.
Also, they could incorperate optional missions that could follow certain storylines, Judge Death being a prime example.

With Marvell and DC both getting there own MMO, its a shame more people can't see the wittiness and cleverness of the 2000ad universe.

Though I imagine I will never see my favorite characters in a MMO, one can dream.

Hey Floyd, i'm up in warm Queensland on the Sunshine Coast.

It does get a bit chilly but nothing compared to what your getting in Melbourne I imagine.

Hey all, no offence taken, it gave me a chuckle anyway.

I know it seems like an unlikely base for a MMO but it would be fun, even just for the social side of things.  I played Star Wars Galaxies till it was nerfed and always enjoyed the social side of it.

I really don't have much of an idea about the popularity of Dredd and 2000ad but always imagined it must have a fairly good following.
I live in Australia and haven't found too many people that share my same enthusiasm for Dredd, but thats another story;)

Games / Rebellion, wheres my 2000ad MMO?

Rebellion must be doing ok to be employing 60 more people, so maybe its time they took the leap into the ever growing world of MMORPG's.

I can't think of a better setting and with such a huge wealth of characters and back story, there would be countless ways of bringing this to life.

With the online market at $3.4 Billion dollars in 2005 and research predicting it will likely reach $13 Billion by 2011, I would much rather see a portion of that going to Judges and Perps instead of the usuall Elves and Trolls.

I understand that MMO's cost alot of money, but done right, that money would be well spent.

I think the whole 2000ad thing would make a great MMORRG. So many stories and characters to draw from and it would be a nice change from the usuall LOTR rip offs.
