"while the termite mound is invaded once more by a monstery thing"

I read it as the king lured the big thing with the babies deliberately to use in his plan get the queen back.

Maybe it's a commentary on how love conquers all or how much one is willing to sacrifice for love? Or maybe it's bobbins.

And this lucky lady was paid $15,000 to have 'Golden Palace.com' on her forehead.

Books & Comics / Kirkman's Invincible
25 July, 2008, 10:38:34 PM
I know there are a few Walking Dead fans on the board but can't remember anyone talking about Invincible. It's really rather good and quite a refreshing take on the genre and it's soon to be a sort of not quite a comic not quite a cartoon series online.

Quote from: "M.I.K."Who's the bald bloke up the top of those?

Got no idea, bugged me all day. I put that one up first with the nefarious intention that somebody would recognize him. I like the fact that Wallbanger crops up.

I'll get around to posting what I have later today.

Quite mad but very funny.

Got some retailer information on these today along with pictures of loads of cards, nearly 200 I think! Looking like it's going to rather impressive set.

"With a 4 issue and Cover Mount Pack campaign going across the UK from August 21st, we expect this to be very popular indeed. 25,000 packs to be cover-mounted in August and 4 consecutive Full Page Colours Advertisements in 2000AD and Judge Dredd Megazine in August/September.
Releasing, Two Weeks from Today
30 Years of 2000AD and Judge Dredd.
England's most successful Science Fiction  comic book. Since 1977 2000AD and  Judge Dredd Megazine has lead the way for imagination and creative comic art in the UK, nothing else comes close to its originality from the countries leading comic book artists.

This set is a new direction for us at Strictly Ink to offer a much higher sketch and bonus content to deal with the more difficult markets that have hit the business this year. So a case of 2000AD will contain six to eight sketch cards out of ten Boxes, no autograph cards in this release but a stunning scarce Gold Foil Set is also included, approx. 4 of these special cards per box."

General / Re: More D'israeli goodness

At Bristol I asked D'Israeli to sketch a character from The Vort. As he was doing so Ian Edington leaned over to see what he was doing and ask who the character was. D'Israeli explained who it was and Ian asked who was writing it and he replied G. Powell and went on to say how surprising it was for a new writer has been given a multi-part story straight away without going through the future shock channel. The way he told it Matt Smith offered it to him as he didn't have anything else upcoming in the prog. Of course, it could all have been a ploy to throw off the thrill hungry fan...

All dealt with and done now. Fascinating to watch though. Moved the nest about 1.30 and it broke apart into two main sections and a few other bits. By 5.30 the other bits had been taken apart and used to join the two main bits together and begin rebuilding the nest. Found a piece of the outer section of the nest and although it looked very solid was incredibly light and delicate.

This was taken just before I had to spray it.

Sunday night I had a dream. Prior to going to sleep I was reading this month's Meg so I'm blaming Anderson.

I was in a structure with a huge pool in the middle of it and going round the pool was like a two tier level of ruins. For some reason there is a polar bear asleep that I had to get past. I disturbed it and it was chasing me on the higher tier so I jumped into the pool aware that the bear followed me into the water. I got out of the water and climbed onto the roof of a small gazebo type building and the bear was trying to get up and I was punching and kicking it away.

Now over to the wife for her version....

Well, it's silly o'clock and the husband wakes me up, all restless and shouty... not my idea of silly o'clock fun! So I lay there watching him fidget like a fool, and lo and behold a swift right hook to the breast ensues. Well that's it, I'm winded, fully awake, and in some serious pain. What's he doing? Still wrestling the blinking polar bear. So off I stumble around the flat in the dark, only to return and find he's now fought the polar bear over to my half of the bed and is now sound asleep. Great! He didn't even wake up when I shouted at him to move.

The bruise is fading now, my friends were all quite shocked to hear about it. And those that got a peek, (I don't show my breasts to everyone normally), were even more shocked at the massive fist shaped purple bruise I had received!

Maybe this is reason for me to get a tan, I know I'm pale, but I hope I don't resemble a polar bear!
