It's great to be able to blast through a book to gauge its shape and style while on the bus home, then later pick through it page by page or panel by panel looking for details and links, then come back to it a few months later when the current story has wrapped up and read it leisurely again, picking up a whole new depth and rhythm.  Value for money if nothing else.

So film is linear whilst comics are analogue hypertext bordering on the fractal? Brilliant!!!

It's a great blog. More please.

Heartily agreed!

That's unless you're a Diamond employee in which case get back to work so those of us outside of the UK can actually read the progs you're critiquing  ;)

OMG Vincebot -- you're being transported!?

Come to Radelaide -- founded by free settlers so we've none of that riff-raff who were caught interfering with loaves of bread.

You've been a cracking mod.

Bestest,

is a damn shame that there is no coverage here !!!!

Hopefully that's gonna change with Simon & Schuster taking over the trade line. What with them being a major publishing house & all, I think they may know a thing or two in that department.

Adelaide Comics Centre here in Auxtralia hasn't seen any prog packs since 1666 - 1669.

Anyone seen anything later from Diamond?

Photo stories should stay with the likes of Viz and no where else.

Let's hope that Tharg doesn't read this forum. He'll go spare if he sees that Clint Langley's been moonlighting again.

Pretty much the titles that Diamond actually genuinely distributed FFS.

Will Diamond be distributing these for those of us outside bot the UK & the States? ie Auxtralia, where both the prog & meg have enjoyed newsagent distribution.

Uh-oh. I hate to tell you mate, but Diamond West Coast has been shipping the Meg to the Antipodes in the fortnight between the Prog packs. Which is why Stevie was taken aback by both lobbing up the same week.

Awwww man, those Thrill Suckers obviously moved into Memphis BIG TIME post 8/16*

Let say we drop a microscopic black hole on the joint from orbit, thus forcing Diamond to rebuild an infestation-free distro centre that actually distributes?

QuoteThat was a strip they really didn't like — and probably with just cause, because we were always up to no good. It's very very cruel — it's poisonous, in a way, and bizarre as well. I've been looking over reprints of that stuff, and seeing Nemesis ride around on his wife's back, who's like a centaur, is pretty strange.

"Pretty strange?" You & Pat on Nemesis is one of the highest pinnacles in comics from where Stevie's standing, Kev mate.

Ship Date: 1/27/2010
SKU: NOV090899
Regular Price: $18.00

JUDGE DREDD MEGAZINE

Wow, pinch me -- Diamond shipped both  a prog pack & a meg to  Auxtralia the same week.

It would be irude & uncouth to draw attention to the disprepancy between the proposed shipping date & the fact that it's actually February now  ::)

Hellblazer: Pandemonium & Mr Amperduke graphic novel arrived today too
