Not directly related to this interview but a point I've raised before. I'm always simply amazed that Norm Breyfogle seems to be almost entirely sidelined from American comics.

I daresay it's because of his association with Alan. DC's loss is Archie's gain.

Does he? Reading back his earlier comments, my reading of it is that something is going to happen pretty soon - however with Wagner's slow burn storytelling pace it may well be a decade in any case!

Uh oh! Stevie was kept awake at 3 o'clock in the morning by this very thought:
Two Fargo clones are cast out into the Cursed Earth.

Only one returns.
Wasn't expecting the poster, shall I bag it or put it up on Robbies wall.

Saw this advertised in Prog 2010, but no sign of any poster in my Meg. Unless it's embedded somewhere amongst the film reviews. Was it for subs- or UK readers-only gift?

Damn stoked to see Giant again. I've been wondering what has become off him in ousting of the Hershey's regime . Seconded to a one-dimensional cariacture of a judge? Awwww man, that's harsh.

& intentional or not, Oldham doesn't half read as a scathing critique of other writers' inability to understand Dredd. I can't help but be reminded of this advice given to a young Giant, "That's what makes us different from creeps like this -- creeps who enjoy it."

Sure I think it'd be cool for the fans for them to meet and interact with established characters but a fresh character could be just as good, if not better for the reasons you mention, as the focal point.

*cough cough* Mrs Gunderson?

Aren't cover dates when they should be taken off the shelves, not put on... or are things different these days?

Stevie's understanding is that's an American practice. Whilst cover dates in the UK 7 his native Auxtralia reflect the on sale date.

Speaking of new progs, Grant -- Diamond curiously shipped Prog 2010 to Auxtralia today. I do say curiously as I haven't seen any of the preceding December progs as yet.

Oh & there was Meg 292 & the latest Dan Dare hardcover too.

The inch was measured differently in America & England until as recently as July 1959 when 2.54 centimetres was agreed upon as the international standard.

That's sad. I didn't even know he was ill.

I'm not surprised Cosh, he kept it pretty much under his hat & didn't announce anything until very recently. Like a month or two ago.

So very much like Rowland from my experience of meeting this softly spoken man. My abiding memory shall be of espying Rowland through an open doorway, tuning up before going head to head with the Drivel Brothers.

MONOSENSE GIRL by Aaron 'Smurf' Murphy and J-Mek is a humorous tale of the distinctly limited super-heroine.

Now, that wouldn't be former poster to this board  JennyMek would it?

Glad to hear that you got you're October pack too Grant.

Oddly enough, it as only the other day in the bath Stevie was ruminating about the whole Ambrose plot thread had been sidelined by Tour of Duty. Guess it goes to show one should never EVER underestimate the master, especailly when you've only a flannel & a loofa to back you up.
