perhaps you should head on down to oz & hang out at the marion shopping centre. a couple of years ago they bunged a concrete roof over the whole thing, added multistoried malls & a cinema megaplex. can't walk into the place without having flashbacks to the city that logan & ms jenny escape from at the beginning at the film.

>my disappointment in how scanty the nudity was

quite possibly this line should read "...my disappointment in how scant the nudity was..."

love to see the final programme again now, however.

i remember staying up until 2 oclock in the morning to watch it on telly when i was about 14 or 15.

the only things that stayed in my mind were my disappointment in how scanty the nudity was & being unconvinced by the ape costume at the end. as i said, i was 14 or 15 at the time, & i remember having similar reservations about carry on emmanuelle (except for the bit about the ape suit, i hastily add), which i recently saw again & had a bit of a knowing chuckle over.

couldn't disagree with you more, jimbob. oh well, horses for courses; no doubt you'll be pleased to hear about steven soderbergh's upcoming version (please see link below if the whim takes you. or don't if it's not your wish).

>I've never read so much crap in one place

obviously you've missed the threads attacking pussyfoot 5, plastikman!

can't personally add my voice to the aliens debate, as the only one of the films i've seen was aliens 4 ('cos i'm a jean paul jeneut fan).

don't watch very many sf films because, to be perfectly frank, i've been bored by too special effects extravaganzas whose plots make the space operas of doc e.e. smith look cutting edge (books & comics have better special effects anyway), but the ones i give big ups to are:

2001 -- a space odyssey
solaris (the full three hour version)
blade runner (director's cut)
a clockwork orange
pi
the city of lost children

props also to the cars that ate paris & existenz. i have soft spots for both dark star & forbidden planet (particularly the soundtrack), both of which i saw on telly as a kid.

still haven't made my mind up on crash, as i've only seen it once & adore the book so much.

>After finishing up the celebration of Judge Dredd's 25th birthday across the pond, Rebellion Entertainment is looking to bring Britain's favorite strong arm of the law stateside via an all-new American series.

obviously this is referring to the forthcoming wagner/diggle & kenny who? dredd vs aliens series for dark horse.
