Some stuff from Bleedingcool (doesn't really add much but a planned date.)

QuoteThe deal was only just finalized, and no creative teams have been decided yet. Ryall has a bunch of talent in mind already, but also wants to see what talent he hadn't thought of will contact him with desires to work on the book.

Paging John Smith & Al Ewing!!!
Paging John Smith & Al Ewing!!!
Here's the chance to get your foot in the door at IDW.

& --if you play your cards right*-- you just may eventually get to write Doctor Who.

*It's IDW. There will be at the very least a crossover.

Combined with the fact that Moffat has pushed that particular story thread to its logical conclusion.

And people ask my why I got into archaeology.  Plenty more at the glorious site of the great Donald F. Glut, a man who can do no wrong.  http://donglutsdinosaurs.com/

By Raquel Welch's mammoth pelt Tordelback! It's as if Jimmy Castor has been inside your head.

Certainly it's possible to like football and comics.  I love football, me, like a lot of Melbourne people.

Now there's a culture that's evelated nerdism into theocracy.

You might remember how shocked people were when BBC's Mastermind started allowing more unusual subjects to be tested during the contestant's specialist rounds in the 90s. You can be tested on Asimov as much as Plato now and yet I think that programme has done a service by showing that 'nerds' who have interests in 'our' subjects can also have a great general knowledge too.

Anyone else recall the bloke who won the international Mastermind play-off (UK, Auxtralia & New Zealand) at least twice consecutively whose special subject was Tolkien's Lord Of the Rings?

What with it being the late 1970s / early 80s you couldn't get any nerdier than that.

If anyone needs Stevie he'll be brushing up on the cinematic oeuvre of Paul Raymond.

Would you mind if we discussed the Emperor's love life instead?

Just so long as Ryall doesn't requests re-writes they'll be as cosy as September 1666.

That's just Gerard O'Neill's High Frontier shorn of all the sexy space bits.

We are truly living in a JG Ballard story.

It's clearly that Al Ewing project that wunderbeardy has been beside himself about but up to this point in time has been unable to reveal.

Hmmm. Stevie been checking the shop regularly but has he missed an actual, printed copy of Meg 320?

As of yesterday it's been available to puchase in digital form only.

Bah. Only 17 out of a possible 20.

This quiz is broke.

:D I'm tempted to pick it up...it's good? The guys at the shop were raving about it.

Just ask Colin

*Sigh* Diamond doesn't appear to be remotely interested in fulfilling approximately a third of Stevie's pre-orders.

It's almost as if they'd rather he take up another hobby  ;)

Just a Aux$20 week for Stevie:

FRANKENSTEIN AGENT OF SHADE #7

NINJETTES #2

CROSSED BADLANDS #1

Read the first 10 pages of SAUCER COUNTRY #1 in-store & it wasn't doing it for Stevie. May give it another chance if any of his local libraries acquires the trade down the track.

His pre-order of CORTO MALTESE TP VOL 01 BALLAD OF THE SALT SEA didn't ship this week so shall pay the electricity bill instead.  Anyone see a copy at their LCS?
