Film & TV / Re: ...NEW DR WHO TONIGHT, EPISODE...

This is a bit of a nit-pick but the final joke was a bit stupid in that having someone with a techie hole in their head and someone else knowing about it IS gonna change history... as the doctor pointed out. And changing history looks like a BIG BAD THING according to the usual spoilerific trailer. I mean is he gonna kill his mother to stop other people finding out.. ahh but perhaps people finding out leads eventually to the Great Empire. I probably think to much about this sort of thing.

Entertaining enough otherwise.

I'd say Miss Billie is more a frog than a horse imho...

Of course the REAL telly event of Saturday night is still to come....!

Trout, no doubt you've forgotten turning into a drunken nasty git at the last two Dreddcons when you'd had one too many... So nasty in fact that I'd have taken action but on one occasion I'd already hit someone and the other I was bursting for a piss and finding a toilet (or dark alley as was actually that case) was more urgent...

>But Art was the editor, and I've always seen him as a latter day Pat Mills...

In what way...

>So it was a paralell universe: doesn't that actually make less sense, since he mentions something near the start about the incident at the end?

Errr... no. Did you actually read it? Or confusing it with something else (Or are you as 'artistic' as Molcher.)

>I wonder who's (Wyat/Molcher) story that was?

It was mine. And he wasnt hunting himself. He fell into a parrallel universe and encountered himself(ves). And it had more twists than that thus rendering it incomprehensible to Molcher (like every story I've ever written.)

Of course I have just written a 'hunting himself' story as well... but of course (he says smugly) that's just the beginning.

Yeah - Porridge not bad, Steptoe not bad... but none of the 'em are as good, or even close to the best episodes of the series.

I noticed Hotel Paradiso was on telly the other week but I deliberatly avoided it as I found Bottom about as funny as drinking weed-killer

Little Britain Movie!!! Oh jesus... NOOOO!!!!!!

The main thing I seem to remember about the Grace Brothers thing was it was all shot in a studio (the beach scenes being surrealy unrealistic)... I mean at least most of the other shit-com film conversions coughed for some location filming.

Oh I saw the Bless This House movie the other day ... dire.

I think the only one that can think of that's barely acceptable is the Likely Lads one. And even thats not that good.

There's also the Moorecome and Wise movie set in South Amercia... never knew it looked so much like the New Forest.

Oh and there's a rumour of an Alan Partridge movie... Ah Ha! That should be the final nail in the coffin in Coogan's career. I mean how awful was the last series (bar the Bond episode of course... must have been a leftover from the previous one)
