Always thought the art in V looked a bit old-fashioned... harking back to another age, but that entirely suited it

Read V... it's very good. There's a couple of creaky bits that let it down so it's not quite The Greatest Comic Ever Made. However the highlights are imho the some of the best sequences ever in a comic.

Surely the radio series would be in the dead centre? As that indeed was the original... And no Power Point-type diagram is complete without some shitty clip-art cartoon

One of the problems I think is that radio and books and to a certain extent the TV series were talky mediums and had plenty of room to get lots and lots of jokes in etc... with a film you have to either chuck a lot of it out or only tell a small about of the story (see LOTR)

His self-agrandising 'I'm the widely acknowledged world's greatest expert on the Hitch-hiker series' manner, does not really help his case...

And a slightly more sensible answer... well I'm assuming you've been down the local Library(ies) recently for a look around. Mine's changed a hell of a lot in the last couple of years - two computer suites, dvd rental (as well as video and cd), Learn Direct centre... plus the whole library catalogue for Lincolnshire is now online, from home I can look for and order any book (or cd or dvd etc) they have.
