Well I sort of agree with that... It might have helped if Blair had not gone totally belly up. Though in the end it might not have made much difference (see Wilson and 'nam).

At my first year at uni, I lived in the same hall of residence annex as the son of Alan 'Quit Smoking The Easy Way' Carr

Another vote for Pervirella.

I actually watched it twice, the second time just before I ebayed to see if it was really as bad as I remembered. It was worse.

I thought the first one was a bit lame but I really rather enjoyed X-Men 2. But that may be because I saw it at the Odeon, Leicester Square and their sound system pummelled me into submission.

Slight difference of opinion as I watched it last night and thought it was a bag of shite

>but didn't someone mention a post-credits scene?

MASSIVE SPOILER, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED...

It's implied that Xavier has survived by transfering his consciousness into the brain-dead man he was talking about in the ethics lecture earlier

Moaning about unrealistic breasts in Heavy Metal is like complaining that Commando is full of Nazis...

Yeah the drum and bass stuff is very 'down with the kids' but King Rat is still a fairly good read, if a bit Gaiman-lite.

I liked the Scar, but recently tried to re-read Perdido and it didnt seem as cool as when I first read it possibly because all the cool surreal stuff seems less cool and surreal with greater exposure and it seemed all a bit bloated.

I could not finish Iron Council.

The Scar came over as a reaction to the arch-typical heroic fantasy novel where it continually confounded your expectations. Council seemed to take another step and confounded my expections (well mine at least) on novel should be and have a plot instead of just a trudge accross the countryside...

I'd avoid that site if you are easily traumatised... particularly the photo section, esp the beach shots and ... oh god... 'Peter Pan'
